Over 26,000 Items Collected in 1-Day Drive For Tornado Victims

Organizers are calling a One-Day Donation Drive for Minneapolis tornado vicitms a huge success.

They say they collected over $700 in gift cards, 3,400 canned food items, 1,900 pounds of pet food, nearly 1,000 hygiene products, 5,900 baby products and 3,200 pounds of water and other drinks.

The items were brought to local churches and shelters where it will be divided up and distributed to local tornado vicitms.

Community Supports Tornado Victims During One-Day Drive

Donations piled up Saturday during a 12-hour donation drive for the victim’s of last month’s tornado in north Minneapolis.

People dropped off hundreds of dollars in groceries and supplies at a collection center on Washington Ave. The items will be brought to local churches
and shelters where they will be divided up and distributed to tornado vicitms.
