Thank God some common sense and sanity has returned. This is a welcome sign.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A judge on Monday blocked a federal requirement that would have begun forcing tobacco companies next year to put graphic images including dead and diseased smokers on their cigarette packages…
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon found the nine graphic images approved by the Food and Drug Administration in June go beyond conveying the facts about the health risks of smoking or go beyond that into advocacy – a critical distinction in a case over free speech.
Enough of this militant Nanny State crap already. We get it, the whole country gets it, smoking is bad for you. We’ve known that for 50 or 60 years now, we don’t need nor want anymore Nanny State. If anyone doesn’t know that smoking is bad for you, then they deserve to get lung cancer. Just stop with all this bullshit and leave us alone.
