The Fallacy of Gingrich as Unelectable

As Newt Gingrich’s victory in the South Carolina primary upended all previously held notions surrounding the unfolding GOP primary race, a common and vocal narrative has become increasingly prevalent; namely, that while he excites the Republican base, Gingrich is an unelectable, personally unlikable candidate that will be trounced in the general election.

Johnson, Libertarian Party Nominee?

Gary Johnson, the former two-term Governor of New Mexico and current GOP candidate for President, told the Santa Fe New Mexican that he is considering bolting from the GOP and instead running for the Libertarian Party’s nomination. Apparently, they have been overtures made by the largest third party to Johnson, who is perpetually stuck below 1% in the polls.
