Important Message from Erik Paulsen (R-MN-3)

This month, President Obama gave Americans a chance to see where he would take this country if we weren’t there to stop him: more government spending, larger deficits and higher taxes.

We have drawn a line in the sand, but things are going to get heated. The President is already setting the stage to make us the bad guys in the coming fight over how best to create jobs and balance the budget.

As the election grows nearer, it’s important that we have the resources to fight back. Please click here and contribute $25, $50 or even $100 by Friday, September 30 so we can be ready fight back against the President’s attacks.

Thank you and God bless,

Erik Paulsen

An important message from Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-MN-3)

Last week I wrote to you about national Democrats painting a giant target on my back. It’s important that we send Nancy Pelosi and her liberal allies in Washington a message by reaching our June 30 fundraising goal.

Now that Washington Democrats are vowing to do their best to defeat me, I’m going to need your continued support to fight back and to win. Please help me and my team reach our goal by contributing $25, $50 or $100 today.

As the Star Tribune said last week, “House Democrats in Washington are gunning for” me and I need the help of friends like you.

Thank you for all of your support!

Erik Paulsen

P.S. – Any sized contribution makes a difference. Please click here to contribute to my campaign and make sure Nancy Pelosi isn’t given the opportunity to become Speaker of the House again.

A message from Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-MN-3)

I just wanted to update you on a couple of action items that I’ve been apart of in the past few weeks on the legislative front.

Repealing Appropriations for the ObamaCare Slush Fund

One of the many problems with the new health care law was the creation of a new $17.75 billion “Prevention and Public Health Fund”.  Under the law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services is given complete discretion on how to spend the funds in this account.  In other words, there’s no Congressional oversight.  That’s why I recently joined my colleagues in the House in passing legislation eliminating this fund, rescinding un-obligated balances and returning the power to allocate spending back to Congress.

Further more, in light of a $1.5 trillion deficit, prioritizing spending needs to remain a top priority.

Working to Lower Gas Prices

With gas prices still hovering around $4.00 a gallon, it’s critical to establish energy policies that reduce our dependence on foreign oil and help lower prices at the pump.  Last week, the House began taking action passing initiatives that will help increase American energy production and bring down rising prices.  One bill restores oil and natural gas production opportunities off the coast of Virginia and in the Gulf of Mexico.

Next under consideration will be a bill to lift the current ban on new offshore exploration in areas containing the most oil and gas resources.

I also support a comprehensive energy plan that includes domestic sources of energy like nuclear, wind, solar, clean coal technology and others!

Have a great rest of the week.
