Sen. Bill Nelson ‘Farms’ Six Cows to Dodge $43,000 in Taxes, All While Supporting Obama’s Spending Spree

Six cows are helping millionaire Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) dodge $43,000 in property taxes on his 55 acres of land on the Indian River, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

While no one begrudges any American from striving to pay as few dollars in taxes as are legally feasible, the fact that Sen. Nelson, an ardent supporter of President Barack Obama’s big government agenda, performs agricultural gymnastics to avoid helping fund Mr. Obama’s deficit-exploding programs is, well, hypocritical.  So says Sen. Nelson’s 2012 Senate Republican challenger, conservative rising star Rep. Connie Mack (R-FL).

‘Fair Share’ Sherrod Brown Delinquent on His Taxes

The U.S. Senate’s leading proponent of tax increases on the American people — Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) was delinquent on his property taxes until a reporter called him to ask him about it.

Brown who supports higher income, energy and investment taxes did not pay his property tax on a luxury condo in Washington, DC.  He was late on his payment since last September.  Curiously, Brown paid his “fair share” after a reporter called his office to inquire about why he was late.

California ‘Conservatives’ Rip-off Schools to Save Union Jobs

Orange County, California is often referred to as the “Most Conservative County in America”. But County Supervisors have made a mockery of that title by increasing spending by $145.8 million, in a year of lower property tax collection. Now that the County has started running out of cash, they simply diverted $73.5 million from the school’s share of property taxes to stop lay-offs of 490 County unionized employees. Conservatives support small government, low taxes, and prudent spending. The County protecting their union buddies at the expense firing 865 school teachers doesn’t sound very conservative to me.
