The Bayfield Apple Festival is listed among “Top Ten Autumn Festivals in North America” by the Society of American Travel Writers. Bayfield Apple Festival is also one of Discover Wisconsin’s Top Ten Favorite Small Town Festivals.

TUNE TIME: Poco – “In The Heart Of The Night”

One of my favorite bands of all time. Poco. Love those guys. They’ve been around since 1968 and really hit their stride in the 70′s and early to mid 80′s. This is what they call “making music.” A far cry from the Lady Ga-Ga crap of today where all they are is a glamorized karoake singer with a stageshow (are you folks at American Idol getting the hint?). The old guys… they easily outplay the young on every level.

“In The Heart Of The Night” was released in 1978 from the “Legend” LP (no CD’s or MP3′s in those days) and became one of the more successful singles.

In this concert version, they start jamming around 4:37, and they’re so good you just don’t want it to end. Near the 5:10 mark you will hear the unmistakable “Poco sound.”
