So how have the last two and a half years been for you? Not really what you expected, is it? 1.78 gas has now turned in to 3.85, inflation is here, we’re broke, trillion-dollar deficits, socialized medicine that you did not want, the economy on the brink of default, high unemployment, your 401k’s are wiped out. During the 2008 campaign Obama said exactly what he was going to do, but you voted for him anyway. Evidently you didn’t think he meant what he actually meant. “Spread the wealth around, etc…” And now a lot of you are stunned at what this country has become. You should have listened to him and believed what he said.
There’s an old saying that goes like this. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” He’s doing it again. Are you listening this time? He’s telling you exactly what’s going to happen if he gets another 4 years. He’s on the campaign trail right now stumping for higher taxes.
Inflation is at 9.6%, gas is up 123.3%, normal everyday items that were never taxed before are taxed now. And Obama wants more of your money. How much of your money that you worked for do you have left? Is your wallet fatter or thinner than it was three years ago?
Remember those 125′s? Health Savings Accounts, you could put money away tax-free to pay your prescriptions or co-pays with, buy a new pair of glasses, etc… Gone. No more.
Do you have a really nice health care plan? You bought it because you want to make sure you and your family have the best possible coverage. You’re paying for it, but now you are also paying the government for the privilege of keeping your plan. But the unions aren’t. They got a waiver.
These are just a few things to think about. This is also what Obama told us he was going to do in the 2008 campaign, if you actually listened to him. He’s at it again. Telling you what he wants for the next four years. Are you paying attention this time?
There is “unfinished business,” Obama said. The “vision hasn’t changed. What we care about hasn’t changed. Our commitments should not have changed. And so this campaign is not my campaign; this is your campaign. And the question is do we finish the job. I’m prepared to finish the job. I hope you are, too.” – Barack Obama, April 2011.
There it is. It doesn’t get anymore clear than that. Are you paying attention this time?
