A 2-year-old boy found unconscious in an Edina hot tub Saturday has died.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department says 26-month-old Chase Peterson and his family, who are from Minneapolis, were visiting a condominium complex on 7000-block of Lewis Ridge Parkway.

Peterson was rushed to University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview where he died early Sunday.

The medical examiner lists the cause of death as drowning.
