I grew up in Fargo so obviously I’m a big North Dakota State football fan. NDSU is a football school, a very successful one at that. They’re D1-FCS and have a winning record this year against the big boys of FBS, and have an all-time winning record against the bigger FBS schools since they moved up to D1 in 2006.

Big game this past Saturday. #3 NDSU took on #2 UNI. Bison win again and move to 8-0 and with #1 Georgia Southern losing, should be ranked #1 in the country.

When the Bison came down here a few weeks ago and put the hurt on Minnesota, QB Brock Jensen, a sophomore from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin caught my eye. The guy is phenomenal. Just this season, his first as the starting QB he has completed 75.3% of his passes, 10 TD’s, 1 pick. Over the next couple of years he should be even better. In the event Christian Ponder doesn’t work out, there’s a good looking prospect playing ball only 225 miles away.
