Time For Republicans To Move Past Leftist Narratives

It is well beyond time to shut down the lefts stealing and monopolizing the narratives. I’m sick of it. As much as I despise them for continuing to do it, they get away with it because our side lets them. That needs to change. Even if it means ruffling their feathers, I think I speak for most on the right when I say, I don’t give a damned if we ruffle their feathers, hurt their feelings, or “offend” them. They need to be served what they’ve been dishing out for a hundred years, and piss on their feelings. Who cares?

Along these lines I read an excellent piece in Pundit Press, written by Danny R Butcher last night, and thought it was more than worthy for you to read.

It is necessary for the GOP to move beyond the liberal left’s narrative framing about Republican policies; i.e., that it is all about, and only about “tax cuts for the rich.”

The conservative position is in favor of limited government. Restricting government revenues to a reasonable amount is a necessary component of enforcing limited government, but by no means the only or most important piece.

The most important piece is government restraint. The restraint must encompass what government tries to do, and must focus on what government shouldn’t be doing and can’t do well. It also must encompass spending levels that taxpayers–not users of government services–are willing to support.

There was a time when taxpayers and users of government services were overlapping sets, but that time is rapidly receding. Those who use and those who pay increasingly are different sets of people with little overlap. That’s the distinction that big government politicians on the left have used to divide us.

The Breitbart ‘Ambiguous Entity of the Year’: The Tent of the Unknown Rapist

I am pleased to announce the winner of the First Annual Breitbart “Ambiguous Entity of the Year” award.

Our choice was inspired by the most under-reported story of the year: the dark side of the Occupy Wall Street movement, which the media attempted to hide.
From its origins, the Occupy movement has been riddled by rapes, sexual assaults, and countless other serious crimes–many of which were not reported to police because Occupy organizers understood that public police reports and media dispatches about crimes would hurt the movement’s image.
