I’ve been passing on the Anthony Weiner scandal for the most part except for the occasional cartoon at the end of the day, mainly because Andrew Breitbart had the big scoop, and everybody else has been blogging about it when I was on vacation,. I didn’t want to get in to the subject after the thunder ended.
That was until now, when it came out that Delaware police are involved because Anthony has or had been having contact with a high school junior. A bubble gum chewing high school junior whose every third word in any given sentence is probably “like.” That in itself should tell you all you need to know about Anthony Weiner.
via Fox News:
NEW CASTLE, Del. — Police on Friday afternoon came to the home of a 17-year-old high school junior to ask her about direct online communications she has had with Rep. Anthony Weiner.
Two officers from the New Castle County Police Department arrived at the girl’s home around 4:30 p.m. and asked to speak with the girl’s mother about the daughter’s contact with Weiner. Another officer appeared at the home a short time later. A FoxNews.com reporter was at the home when the police arrived.
The girl, whose name is being withheld because she is a minor, told FoxNews.com, “I’m doing OK.” [...]
Sources close the student said the girl followed Weiner on Twitter after seeing him speak during a school trip to Washington on April 1. Weiner, after signing on to follow the girl’s Twitter feed, direct-messaged the girl on April 13, the sources said, though it is not clear what other communication the two may have had between or after those dates.
During Weiner’s press conference when he finally admitted at least parts of the truth, and was asked if all the women were adults, his response was, “to the best of my knowledge,” that rose a red flag for me. That phrase, “to the best of my knowledge,” normally indicates the person has something to hide. “To the best of my knowledge,” is an escape route to plead ignorance. Don’t take my word for it, ask any profiler or police officer, they’ll tell you what I told you.
