In light of the “Fast and Furious” fiasco, the Obama administration is embarrassing itself whenever it tries to convince the public that on issues like healthcare and immigration reform, the government is well equipped to ensure the safety of the American people.

Referencing yesterday’s post about that pillar of competence that runs the Dept. of Homeland Security, it was recently reported:
Last month, Janet Napolitano told an audience in El Paso, Texas that the security on the southern border “is better now than it ever has been” and that Mexican violence has not had a serious effect on neighboring towns.
Yeah, well… about that….

The signature crimes of the most violent drug cartel in Mexico are its beheading and dismemberment of rival gang members, military personnel, law enforcement officers and public officials, and the random kidnappings and killings of civilians who get caught in its butchery and bloodletting.
But this disparate band of criminals known as Los Zetas is no longer just a concern in Mexico. It has expanded its deadly operations across the southwestern border, establishing footholds and alliances in states from New York to California.
What again have I said about Napolitano since day one? Something about an incompetent boob that is unqualified to hold the position she has. Who’s right again? Thank me very much. Janet Napolitano is this administrations Jocelyn Elders. What an embarrassment.
