Wednesday Rant: The Media

Everybody in this country knows the media is biased, engages in propaganda, and is in the tank for Obama. That’s no secret. But now the media is actively engaged in helping Obama dismantle the constitution.

Obama’s declared war on religion is despicable. I hope he rots in hell for all eternity. From this war on religion sprang the war on women. Obama and the media changed the narrative and invented a fictional story that somehow or another, became the narrative.

The media isn’t the media anymore.

The largest lawsuit against the United States government has all but been ignored.

Changes need to be made when the new president takes office, and the media should be shut down completely and dismantled, then start over. Bring some of those media people up on charges as well. Treason would be a good one to start with.

Brent Bozell is a bit more eloquent than I.

The evening news broadcasts all but spiked the largest legal action in history to defend our constitutionally protected religious freedom. The May 21 editions of ABC’s World News and NBC’s Nightly News refused to report the fact that 43 Catholic dioceses and organizations filed a lawsuit on Monday against the Obama administration. CBS Evening News gave this historic news a mere 19 seconds of air time.

This is the worst bias by omission I have seen in the quarter century history of the Media Research Center. Every American knows about the Chinese communists withholding for 20 years the news that the US had landed on the moon, because it reflected poorly on the government. Our US media today are no different. They are now withholding news from the American people if it is harmful to the re-election of Barack Obama.

This is not a mistake, nor is it an editorial oversight by the broadcast networks. This is a deliberate and insidious withholding of national news to protect the ‘Chosen One’ who ABC, CBS and NBC have worked so hard to elect and are now abusing their journalistic influence to reelect Obama. And when a network like CBS mentions the suit ever-so-briefly, they deliberately distort the issue by framing it as a contraception lawsuit instead of what they know it to be: a religious freedom issue. It’s bogus, dishonest – a flat out lie.

Like I said. It’s time to dismantle the media and start over.

Bush, Obama, & The Phony Media Propagandists

Remember back in 2008 when gas prices soared under President Bush? It was “Bush’s fault.” Nevermind the Democrat controlled congress that made policy and controlled the purse strings, it was still Bush’s fault.

The Propaganda Ministry which some still refer to as the media were willing accomplices in that Democrat campaign strategy.

You heard personal stories by the willing useful idiots propagandized by the media. Steve couldn’t afford gas to get to work and was subsequently terminated, and to make matters worse, because he was terminated, he did not qualify for a handout. Poor Steve. Now what?

Then there was Rhonda, a poor single mom in tears because she couldn’t afford gas to get to work to make money to feed her children. Those poor kids. She may have had to put them up for adoption because of that. You don’t hear any of those sob stories now, do you?

In fact, there were four times as many stories about high gas prices when Bush was in office as there are today in spite of the fact that gas prices have risen over 100% since Barack Obama seized power.

There are still some leftists that are blaming the high gas prices on Bush, even in the 4th year of Obama’s presidency. And/or, they blame the high prices on everything but Obama, when in fact it is all Obama.

His EPA is considering clamping down on North Dakota’s oil industry, he cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline, imposed a moratorium on offshore drilling, refuses to issue drilling permits for ANWR and other parts of Alaska as well as the rest of the United States. And is refusing shale oil permits as well.

So when you put those roadblocks up, how is that Bush or the Republicans fault? How is that not Barack Obama’s fault? And, instead of issuing permits we get a speech about pond scum. Does that make even the least bit of sense to anybody? Yet the so-called media is silent. They would have mocked President Bush endlessly about the pond scum idiocy, yet say nothing now.

Remember how the Democrats and their media allies mocked and ridiculed the Republican initiative (and bills) of “Drill Baby, Drill”? The Democrat controlled House and Senate shot every one of those initiatives down, mocking them and proclaiming they were ridiculous because it would take three to five years to see any type of relief.

Well… had we drilled baby, drilled back then, we wouldn’t be seeing and experiencing these prices at the pump now, would we? But hey! There’s always pond scum!

Santorum Is Absolutely Correct on the Media, Debates

Earlier this week, GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum hit the nail directly on the head when he addressed the disingenuousness of the mainstream media when it comes to the Republican field of candidates vying for the party’s nomination and the entirety of the so-called “debate” process. This may not be earth-shattering news to those who eat, sleep and breathe Conservative politics (or politics in general) but it is newsworthy when a politico actually stands up and presents a challenge to rank-and-file voters to do something about it.

ABC News backfire: Most women went to Newt in SC

Ya gotta love it! ABC and the other Democrat shill media tried their best to derail Newt’s campaign, particularly with women. Kinda looks like it backfired, eh?

Looks like the media is becoming irrelevant to an extent. That’s a good thing.

What do South Carolina’s Republican primary voters, who identify themselves as late decision-makers, conservatives, evangelicals, married women and independents, have in common? They all gave Newt Gingrich a plurality of their support in the all-important “first in the South primary,” according to the Fox News exit polls.

The former House Speaker bested former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, considered the presumptive front-runner, on the all important “electability” question, which has been the hallmark of Romney’s message and appeal thus far. Newt scored big in the Palmetto State, gaining more votes than Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum combined.

Gingrich decisively beats national media in SC poll 54-14

We really need to stop referring to them as the media. It’s not the media anymore and it hasn’t been for a long time. They are the propaganda arm of the DNC, let’s quit sugar-coating that fact ad call those clowns what they really are.

Fortunately the people (on both sides) are finally getting it (thanks recently to Newt Gingrich) and now for the most part, nobody holds the media in any type of high regard, instead, most of us view them as something along the lines of the black plague. You know what’s really sick? Those pompous elites in the media still don’t get it. It’s like they live in another world somewhere far, far away from planet Earth.

(CNSNews.com) – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has defeated the national media in South Carolina by a margin of 54 percent to 14 percent, according to a survey conducted by a Democrat polling firm.

The poll, conducted by Raleigh, N.C.-based Public Policy Polling (PPP), interviewed 1,540 likely South Carolina Republican primary voters from Jan. 18 to Jan. 20. It showed that 54 percent of those voters said they had a favorable opinion of Gingrich while 37 percent said they had an unfavorable opinion of him.

At the same time, only 14 percent said they had a favorable opinion of the media, while 77 percent said they had an unfavorable opinion of the media.

Even among the dreaded moderates, and the libs too, both have an unfavorable view of the media.

Among voters who said they were moderate, 63 percent had an unfavorable opinion of the media, and 22 percent said they had a favorable opinion. Among voters who said they were somewhat liberal, 48 percent said they had an unfavorable opinion of the media and 37 percent said they had a favorable opinion.

Transparency: Burton, Depp Not in White House Visitor Log

The White House is under fire for reportedly trying to downplay the role that two Hollywood stars played at a 2009 Halloween party, with press secretary Jay Carney today calling the media’s reporting on the incident “irresponsible” and denying reports of an attempted cover-up. But no record of the two stars, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, appears in the official White House visitors logs.

An administration source said that entertainers are generally not recorded in the visitors logs. ”Entertainers and production crews who are working events are generally not WAVED in since they are not guests visiting the White House,

Obama’s Police State: DHS monitors journalists

This is rather upsetting, never in our history has government kept track of and created files on the media which includes “social media users” (Twitter, Facebook), private citizens writing their thoughts on a weblog, etc…

What is it again I keep telling you about tyrants? They are small, little, fearful people who do their utmost to hide the truth from the people. That pretty much describes this regime perfectly, doesn’t it?

I just want to ask the hypocrite left a question. What if Bush would have done this? What’s the matter? Cat got your tongues again, hypocrite?

Maybe this is part of the reason the media refuses to go after the failed Obama presidency. You would think something like this would be all over the media, a big 60 Minutes expose, but no, not a word.

Freedom of speech might allow journalists to get away with a lot in America, but the Department of Homeland Security is on the ready to make sure that the government is keeping dibs on who is saying what.

Under the National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative that came out of DHS headquarters in November, Washington has the written permission to retain data on users of social media and online networking platforms.

Specifically, the DHS announced the NCO and its Office of Operations Coordination and Planning (OPS) can collect personal information from news anchors, journalists, reporters or anyone who may use “traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.”

According to the Department of Homeland Security’s own definition of personal identifiable information, or PII, such data could consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.” Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding blogger, can be victimized by the agency.

Also included in the roster of those subjected to the spying are government officials, domestic or not, who make public statements, private sector employees that do the same and “persons known to have been involved in major crimes of Homeland Security interest,” which to itself opens up the possibilities even wider.

The department says that they will only scour publically-made info available while retaining data, but it doesn’t help but raise suspicion as to why the government is going out of their way to spend time, money and resources on watching over those that helped bring news to the masses.

Have you noticed the expanding police state powers by the Obama regime? President Bush never came close to anything like this, but all the leftists whined about anything he did. Where are you now? This is real, this affects you too. Or, will it suddenly become a grave injustice and threat to freedom when a Republican is elected? Then, it won’t be okay, huh?

Unlike you people, I put the country first, not blind allegiance to a Bolshevik dictator wannabe and his f***ed up ideology. By being silent or excusing this, you are proving to be everything I have ever said you people on that side are.

“We Can’t Wait” For Media Responsibility

by Roger Aronoff

AIM Report

While the media largely continue to do their best to protect and defend the administration of President Barack Obama, there have been a number of recent examples indicating that such support can no longer be taken for granted. However, criticism remains the exception to the overall coverage, which has shown a reluctance to acknowledge any scandals by this administration, or any policy blunders.

If you go to WhiteHouse.gov, you will see “We Can’t Wait” as one of the main features. Until recently, it said, “We Can’t Wait on Congress. The Time to Act is Now.” The message from the Obama administration is that they are trying to promote their jobs bill, and the Republican-led House is refusing to cooperate. So damn the separation of powers, they’re going to enact their legislative priorities through executive orders and arbitrary actions. The liberal media are perfectly fine with this, because they largely support the Obama agenda. If not in every detail, at least they support the re-election of Barack Obama, so they’re not going to make a fuss.

Obama Running Against Congress, Not on his Record

But the reality is that instead of running on his record as President, Obama is trying to run against what he is in essence calling “a do-nothing Congress.” From January 2009 until January 2011, Obama had large majorities in the House and Senate, got his stimulus bill passed, ObamaCare, and a host of other bills that he brags about. What he failed to do, however, much of which upset his base, included passing or even pushing for comprehensive immigration reform and “Cap and Trade,” closing Guantanamo, and ending the Bush tax cuts. In some cases it was because he didn’t want the political heat, in others it was because he couldn’t get enough Democrats to go along.

In the meantime, the House passed a budget in April that the Senate voted down in May, and the House has passed 15 bills that they call jobs bills, and the Senate hasn’t voted on any of them. But it is in fact the Senate, led by Majority Leader Harry Reid, which has failed to fulfill its constitutional requirement of passing a budget, since April of 2009. So which chamber is the do-nothing Congress? If the Republican bills are so bad, the Senate should take pride in bringing them up for a vote and voting against them. That’s how the process is supposed to work.

President Obama called Congress into session for his address to the joint session right after Labor Day, and introduced his so-called Jobs bill, which he knew had no chance of passing because it was full of tax hikes that Republicans believe will damage any economic recovery. It went down to defeat, including several Democrats and Independents who failed to vote for it. That is when Obama virtually announced his imperial presidency, outlining plans to circumvent Congress at every opportunity. He already had established his go-it-alone attitude by attempting to run much of his agenda through mostly unconfirmed and unaccountable “czars,” of which there are now 45, according to a recent report by Judicial Watch.

Obama’s demagoguing this issue while America and the world are on the brink of a catastrophic economic downfall is nothing short of deceitful, for the sake of short- term political gain.

While the media have been obsessing over the Republican presidential field and the Penn State sex scandal, they have largely ignored or completely downplayed numerous stories that reflect quite negatively on the Obama administration. These stories include serious scandals, and outrageous political decisions meant to help ensure his re-election. They are stories that deserve frequent coverage and discussion, rather than to be framed as partisan bickering, when they are covered at all. For the most part, they receive instead just a smattering of coverage, mostly excluding the sense of urgency and disdain they deserve. Here are a few examples.
