A Chicago school bans lunches brought from home

Education. No different than the power hungry tyrants running this country at the present time. A school’s job is to teach. Period. It is not a Nanny, or a dictatorship where it decides what you may or may not eat. This is overreach. Let me remind you again. A school’s job is to teach, nothing else, period.

At Little Village Academy on Chicago’s West Side, students are not allowed to pack lunches from home. Unless they have a medical excuse, they must eat the food served in the cafeteria.

Principal Elsa Carmona said her intention is to protect students from their own unhealthful food choices.

“Nutrition wise, it is better for the children to eat at the school,” Carmona said. “It’s about the nutrition and the excellent quality food that they are able to serve (in the lunchroom).

No, no, your job is to teach, period. You don’t get to decide what is healthy and nutritional, and what the kids may have from home to eat. This is social engineering plain and simple. This idiocy going on in every aspect of our lives needs to stop right now. Not tomorrow.

A quote by Ronald Reagan is germain to this insanity.

“If no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else?”
