Production of 100 watt bulbs has ceased in the US and Europe. Production of 60 watt bulbs has been stopped in Europe and is being phased out in the US. From 2014, incandescent bulbs of 40 watts or above will be banned in the US.
It won’t be long until the light bulb is banned and we’re all forced to use those shitty CFL’s filled with mercury. The wackos on the left that keep falsely claiming CFL’s are so great are lying to you. How do I know this? Simple. The free market. People don’t buy CFL’s, they buy regular bulbs. Now if some product is supposedly superior, wouldn’t you think they’d outsell the other and eventually run them out of business? No, that’s okay. The government will just ban the competition and take away free choice and free markets. Yup! Just like the Founders intended!
I can tell you what I’ll do when and if I eventually run out of real light bulbs. Those CFL’s, I will smash in the garbage can. No, I won’t separate, pay to recycle or any of that stupid shit. Kinda my way of saying to the overbearing government, “fuck you, get out of my life.”
One-in-five Americans (20%) say they or someone they know has bought large quantities of traditional light bulbs to use when those bulbs disappear off store shelves next year under new federal light bulb regulations.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 70% of Adults aren’t doing that themselves or don’t know anyone who is, but another 10% are not sure.
The new government regulations provide for the manufacture of similar-looking bulbs that will last longer and be more energy-efficient – but also more expensive. Critics view the regulations as unnecessary government intrusion in the free market and see them as effectively banning the kind of light bulb Americans have used for decades.
Just 20% of adults think the sale of traditional light bulbs should be banned (Marxist dopes). Sixty-seven percent (67%) oppose such a ban. Thirteen percent (13%) are undecided.
The lightbulb ban reversal failed, and as usual, thank the goddam Democraps. This should prove beyond a doubt those assholes are not about freedom and just want to control everything in your life, but the odd part is, you keep electing those jackwads, so “we” (in a general sense) are doing it to ourselves. I wonder what’s next on their list? What kind of food we can cook and eat? Oh wait, they’re on that one, just ask Michelle Obama. How warm we can keep our houses in the winter and how cool in the summer, when we may use our appliances? Oh gee, they’re on that one too with the “Smart Grid.”

When are people finally going to accept the fact that they aren’t Democrats anymore, they’re communists. All you need to do is look what they’ve already done, a sane person can’t argue what they (Democrats) really are. If you want more regulations, restrictions, bans, taxes, etc… just keep voting for those assholes, you’ll get your wish.
