Jewish support for Obama drops

The Right, namely the Republican Party has been the Jews best friend and ally in government circles. They have always stood with the Jewish people in spite of never getting the Jewish vote. Yet Jews for the most part continue voting Democrat. I don’t get that. We’ve had two openly anti-Semitic president’s in my lifetime in Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama, yet they still vote for that party. Makes no sense to me at all.

Well, maybe the tide is finally beginning to turn. AJC conducted its annual poll and it’s not looking good for Comrade O.

Disappointment with US President Barack Obama’s handling of US-Israel relations has caused a drop in Jewish support for the administration, an annual survey conducted by AJC, a Jewish advocacy organization, revealed.

Disapproval among Jewish voters exceeded approval of Obama’s presidency for the first time during the current administration. Jewish approval of Obama’s performance as president declined to 45%, with another 48% disapproving and 7% undecided…

When asked about Obama’s handling of US-Israel relations, 40% of respondents gave their approval, with another 53% disapproving and 7% undecided…

Israel’s Ynet News has the full story

Let’s do this one more time:

“The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.” (Barack Obama, May 19th, 2011).

With the Obama administrations blessing (and prodding), Israel’s Haaretz had the headline: U.S. Senator seeks to cut aid to elite IDF units operating in West Bank and Gaza

Why don’t you talk about so-called Israeli Human Rights violations now, Sen. Leahy?

You all heard what the highly overrated Sen. Patrick Leahy said about cutting IDF aid to Israel due to his senile view of human rights violations, right? I posted about it here. I wonder what the worthless Senator that should be in a retirement home has to say about the terror attacks in Israel today? Oh! He didn’t say anything? He ignored it and slithered under the rock he calls home? Now, why doesn’t that surprise me?

via Haaretz;

Seven people were killed and at least 26 people were wounded Thursday in a series of terrorist attacks on Israeli targets approximately 20 kilometers north of the southern city of Eilat, close to the border with Egypt.

Timeline via the Jerusalem Post:

12:00 p.m. –Three terrorists open fire at Egged Bus 392 traveling on Road 12 between Eilat and Mitzpe Ramon. The terrorists infiltrated into Israel from Egypt wore military vests and were heavily armed with assault rifles, roadside bombs and suicide bomb belts. At least 10 passengers were injured.

12:20 p.m. – One of the terrorists opens fire at an empty bus that drives by and detonates an explosives belt he is carrying, killing himself and the bus driver. Another terrorist fires an RPG at an IAF helicopter but misses.

12:25 p.m. – One of the two remaining terrorists opens fire at a passing car, killing four people. An IDF jeep from the Golani Brigade arrives at the scene and runs over the terrorist. Another IDF jeep arrives and as the soldiers get out of the vehicle, the remaining terrorist opens fire, hitting the soldiers.

12:30-1:00 p.m. - IDF soldiers and members of the police’s elite YAMAM counter-terror unit locate the remaining terrorist. A gun battle ensues and the terrorist is killed.

1:30 p.m. – Two terrorists open fire at the troops from within Egyptian territory. The troops return fire and kill the terrorists. The Egyptian military reports to the IDF that its soldiers have killed two additional terrorists in the Sinai

3:00 p.m. – Defense Minister Ehud Barak claims that the terrorists originated in the Gaza Strip and that Israel will respond “forcefully and decisively.”

6:30 p.m. – Acting on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), the Israeli Air Force strikes in the southern Gaza Strip killing several Palestinians, including the head of the Popular Resistance Committees and several other senior operatives.

7:00 p.m. – Shots are fired at soldiers along the border, likely from Egypt. One IDF soldier is seriously wounded and evacuated to Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba.

Yeah, why don’t we talk human rights, Sen. Leahy? Where are you now? I can’t hear you!

Of course, Israel’s retaliation will obviously be violating human rights. Ask Patrick Leahy, he’ll tell you.

I have to admit I agree with what then Vice President Dick Cheney told Sen. Patrick Leahy on the Senate floor a few years ago, “Go fuck yourself.”
