“Impeach Obama” says prominent congressional Democrat

Who would have ever thought a Democrat would have more courage and stand by his convictions, putting the country first, doing what’s right and needs to be done while mentioning that magic little word that begins with an “I” than those “principled” Re-pube-lick-enz?

I don’t believe I’ll be calling him Dennis “The Menace” anymore. He’s rapidly climbed to number one on my political popularity chart.

President Barack Obama should be impeached for approving air strikes against Libya, Rep. Dennis Kucinich said in an interview Monday.

“President Obama moved forward without Congress approving,” the liberal Ohio Democrat told Raw Story. “He didn’t have congressional authorization, he has gone against the Constitution, and that’s got to be said.” Several other members of Congress have also chastised the Obama administration for not doing enough to sell the intervention to Congress, let alone to the American people.

Wow! He’s right. It should also be noted:

Kucinich wanted to impeach former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney for their roles in leading the United States into war in Iraq and for their oversight of the conduct of the war, but was blocked by Democrat leadership.

Give the man credit for putting the country and the constitution first, and ignoring the partisan B.S. It doesn’t matter to him if it’s one of his own or one of “the other guys.” You have to admire that. I have a new-found respect for him.

So what changed?

Let’s go back to candidate Obama for a minute.

“The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.” – Barack Obama, 2007.

Like the title of this post says, so what changed? Oddly enough, even I am opposed to military involvement against Libya, and it has nothing to do with Obama. Without going in to detail I’ll just say, 3 wars with 3 muslim countries in the middle east. Do I really need to say any more?

Obama is losing his base in congress. Democrats have turned on him. Ed Markey, his reason is idiotic, but nobody ever accused that climate kook of being very intelligent. But he does use Obama’s very own words against him.

Michael Moore is actually tweeting about Obama returning his Nobel Peace Prize. Speaking of which, Soviet Communist Party Leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky wants Obama’s Peace Prize stripped. Then there’s “Dennis The Menace” who, oddly enough, I find myself agreeing with, for the very same reasons he does. Believe it or not, he’s making sense.

I need to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming.
