Common sense from Marco Rubio & Kelly Ayotte

Marco Rubio. Now there’s a guy with common sense. A down-to-Earth no BS Senator that doesn’t want to waste time holding his you-know-what, he wants to get the economy moving, not now, but yesterday.  At least we know somebody in the Senate is looking out for the common man, the average, everyday American. It’s clear the Democrats are not (in spite of the urban legend, the myth if you will, that Democrats are for “the little guy”).

via The Blaze:

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) took to the Senate floor Wednesday in joint remarks with Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), attacking the Obama administration’s approach to fixing jobs and the debt.

From Rubio’s remarks:

We don’t need new taxes. We need new taxpayers, people that are gainfully employed, making money and paying into the tax system. Then we need a government that has the discipline to take that additional revenue and use it to pay down the debt and never grow it again. That’s what we should be focused on, and that‘s what we’re not focused on.

You look at all these taxes being proposed, and here’s what I say. I say we should analyze every single one of them through the lens of job creation, issue number one in America. I want to know which one of these taxes they’re proposing will create jobs. I want to know how many jobs are going to be created by the plane tax. How many jobs are going to be created by the oil company tax that I heard so much about. How many jobs are created by going after the millionaires and billionaires the president talks about? I want to know: How many jobs do they create?

He’s got a valid point. Go ahead Democrats and other left-leaners. Tell me how many jobs an increased tax burden creates. My guess is, I won’t hear a damned word from any of them because they know what we all know. They are just selfish, greedy wealth redistributors that want more of something that does not belong to them. Say, that’s the definition of the word, “thief.” Huh! I’ll be darned.

One more little excerpt from Sen. Rubio and then the video. I strongly urge you to watch it.

There’s no serious discussion of a spending cap. I’d love to have a vote on a balanced budget amendment, why is that not on the table? Why aren’t we voting on that tomorrow?
