Cameras will be allowed to cover civil cases in Minnesota courtrooms under a new order from the state Supreme Court.
Starting July 1, judges in civil cases can allow media coverage with video cameras, still cameras, and audio devices. The new order says the decision on whether to allow cameras is up to the judge in the courtroom – not the lawyers for either side.
