The 2012 Race, the Origins of Modern Partisanship, and the Resurgence of Local Governance

The past week was very interesting in Presidential politics.  The darlings of the rank and file Republican Party, New Jersey governor Chris Christie and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, have concluded it is not time to run for President. Herman Cain (who was recently labeled a racist by a Democrat strategist on CNN) has become the sweetheart of the white-supremacist, right-wing Tea Party.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor: “Obama’s Jobs Package is Dead”

Good! It’s about time someone stood up to the nations bully-in-chief and basically tell him that if it’s hardball you want, hardball you’ll get, and that his half trillion-dollar stimulus spending spree disguised as a phony “jobs bill” is dead!

Besides that, it is a tyrannical and unconstitutional bill that looks to render the 11th Amendment void, which makes his bill illegal.

SEC. 376. FEDERAL AND STATE IMMUNITY.

(a) Abrogation of State Immunity- A State shall not be immune under the 11th Amendment to the Constitution from a suit brought in a Federal court of competent jurisdiction for a violation of this Act.

Nope! Can’t have that in the bill, it’s illegal. We discussed that in a post found here.

(CNSNews.com) – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said that President Barack Obama’s $447-billion American Jobs Act was dead, adding that Obama’s “all or nothing” approach would not work.

At a Capitol Hill briefing on Monday, a reporter asked Cantor whether the “jobs package as a package [was] dead?”

Cantor said, “yes,” and shortly thereafter said, “It seems as if the president is in full campaign mode. The president continues to say ‘pass my bill in its entirety.’ As I’ve said from the outset, this all-or-nothing approach is just not acceptable.”

Cantor also questioned whether Obama had the votes for his jobs bill in the Democrat-controlled Senate, saying that the president had some “whipping” to do.

“I think – from a purely practical standpoint – the president’s got some whipping to do on his own side of the aisle,” said Cantor.  “Clearly, I think comments made by Democrats on both the House and Senate side indicated they’ve got problems with the president’s bill.”

One of those Democrats is Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the Senate Majority Whip. Durbin told Chicago-area radio station WLS last week that there would not be “100 percent” Democrat support for the bill in the Senate. Read the rest

LAUGHER: Obama says GOP will fundamentally cripple America

[Hysterical laughter!] Yeah! And what have you and your party done lately? Oh, let me think. The unemployment rate has increased 3.5% under your policies compared to the worst of times during the last 6 months of the previous administration, you lost our AAA credit rating. Congratulations, you’re the first president that managed to accomplish that.

Record deficits of a trillion and a half dollars every year of your presidency, you’ve spent 6 trillion dollars including an 800 billion dollar failed stimulus, you’ve raised taxes, gas prices are more than double, inflation has hit, and now you’re back to repeating those same failed actions by going coast to coast calling for more taxes and more spending to the tune of almost half a trillion dollars. Didn’t you learn by your mistakes the first time? Evidently not. And now he’s going around claiming the GOP will cripple America? What were his exact words again? Oh yeah, “an approach to government that will fundamentally cripple America in meeting the challenges of the 21st century.” Call the kettle black one more time, okay?

It’s already been established that Barack Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter, the worst in the last century, and quite likely the worst of all time, and he’s pointing right, and saying the Republicans would be worse! This guy just never stops amazing me!

Hell bent on raising taxes, Obama’s 447B jobs bill will cost taxpayers 421B

94% of bogus “jobs bill” is funded by tax increases

Let’s just put Obama’s thinking in perspective. The only way to create or help create jobs is by raising taxes. Essentially that’s what Obama believes.

Let’s even do this another way. If you own a business, the only way you can hire people is by having higher taxes, which cut in to your profits, where in the real world, you couldn’t afford to hire another employee. What planet does this f – - king Barack Obama come from?

There’s never anything about cutting, only increasing the size of an already obtrusive government while taking more of your money. That’s all he’s interested in. Take, take, take, and take some more until there isn’t anything left to take.

If Barack Obama were serious about jobs and the economy he would cut taxes, eliminate regulations, particularly EPA and Environmental regulations, and stop trying to take more from the job creators. This ideologue idiot has it all backwards. 2012 can’t come soon enough. This asshole needs to go home.

The prospects for President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs plan grew dimmer Monday as he unveiled the fine print of how it would be paid for—primarily through tax increases that Republicans said would kill jobs, not create them.

Good. No is the proper response to this tax and spend leftist gibberish that never works and ALWAYS makes matters worse.

Worst president in history, and makes Jimmy Carter look good. He needs to leave.
