Wyl E. Coyote of the Week: Man Electrocuted While Working on Christmas Lights

Remember what I always say about stupid people getting what they deserve? Well, Jens Gardner got what he deserved, and the result is one less stupid person in the world. But the problem with that is we can expect Nanny State to impose more regulations to try and legislate stupidity, which in itself is stupidity.

A 51-year-old man was electrocuted while working on a Christmas lights display Friday morning.

Jens Gardner, of Grand Prairie, was making some final adjustments to the Christmas lights hanging at the Historic Anderson Building when he was electrocuted.

Gardner was moving the 40-foot metal ladder from one location to another when the ladder fell backward into the power lines, according to Juan Dellapiane, building manager.

A 40 foot metal ladder in the immediate vicinity of power lines, plus, he tried moving the ladder in a vertical position. [SIGH] Like I said, the stupid get what they have coming.
