Did you hear about Barack Obama’s dud at the Chrysler plant on Friday? He made a joke, and a not-so-funny one about the Jeep Wrangler and it didn’t go over well. It’s in the video. It wasn’t “bad” as in insulting, it just didn’t go over well, you’ll see what I mean. I don’t think it was a big deal.
But all through the right side of the blogosphere I saw headlines and posts about how awful and disrespectful, yada, yada, yada… he was towards Chrysler, etc… How it’s like committing one of the 7 deadly sins and was inexcusable, etc… They tried to demonize him for the joke.
Really? The right side is beginning to be as candyassed as the left. Making a big deal out of nothing. A badly timed joke. Ooooo…. damn! He should “apologize” to all he “offended” and perhaps step down, huh? You sound like a typical whiney Democrat for God’s sake. We expect that type of crying and the tantrums from them, we’re supposed to be the adults, grow up and start acting like it. We’re above that petty, infantile nonsense. They aren’t.
And while the right was focussed on a not-so-funny joke, the real meat and potato’s of what Obama said went unnoticed.
His whole little speech was nothing but excuse making for his failed economic policies. Seriously. Listen to it. It’s just one excuse after the other and constant pointing and blaming. It shouldn’t really surprise anyone, that’s all he and his side do for their failures. It’s always somebody else’s fault. Well, you know what? We’ve had three years of this guy’s policies, three years of complete failure, it’s time for him to man up, accept responsibility, make amends, and try a different course of action. That’s what a real president would do.
Instead, what does he do? At the end of the video he talks about spending more money that we don’t have. He uses the term, “invest.” Invest my ass, it’s spending, period.
Investing is something we the people do, governments can’t, and we make money, get a return on our investments. Anybody reading this blog ever receive a dividend check from their government “investment?” No, I didn’t think so.
