How do people like James Clyburn, that have absolutely no understanding of the basics of the constitution get elected? This guy is so far out there, he’s dangerous.

Clyburn and a group of his progressive cronies are urging Obama to “invoke the 14th Amendment” and end the debt crisis by raising the debt limit via executive order.

Excuse me. What? Obama can’t do that any more than he can “invoke” the 18th Amendment and declare prohibition again. Article 1 Section 7 and Section 8 of the Constitution are very specific. Obama can not “invoke the 14th Amendment” via executive order and sign it in to law, period.

The constitution would be made irrelevant if that happened, there would be no need for congress as the president would be making all the decisions much like a monarchy or a dictatorship. And that’s what James Clyburn wants.

And here’s something else Clyburn doesn’t understand, and it’s already been agreed upon that if Obama were to pull a dictatorship stunt like that, he will immediately be impeached, and he should be. So should Clyburn for that matter. He’s advocating treason.
