Republicans Preparing Contempt Citation Against Eric Holder

This is a good first step in regards to the most incompetent, corrupt and negligent Attorney General in history. On a daily basis, Eric Holder willfully disregards his oath of office. He’s engaged in cover-ups which is criminal. I’ll go a step further. He needs to be relieved of his command, and when the Romney Administration is sworn in, Holder needs to be charged, found guilty, and put in prison, where he belongs.

(CBS News) — House Republicans investigating the Fast and Furious scandal plan to pursue a contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder, senior congressional aides told CBS News.

The resolution will accuse Holder and his Justice Department of obstructing the congressional probe into the allegations that the government let thousands of weapons fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.

The citation would attempt to force Holder to turn over tens of thousands of pages of documents related to the probe, which has entered its second year.

For months, congressional Republicans probing ATF’s Fast and Furious “Gunwalker” scandal – led by California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa, have been investigating a contempt citation. They’ve worked quietly behind the scenes to build support among fellow Republicans, since it could ultimately face a full House vote.

CBS News has confirmed that House Speaker John Boehner, an Ohio Republican, was provided a 48-page long draft by Issa, who heads the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

November can’t come soon enough. I am so sick of the corruption, the lies, the propaganda, the abuse of power, the flagrant disregard of the constitution, the vileness of this regime. The Nixon Administration would be considered ethical compared to this one.

Hey Barack! Tell us again how well Egypt is working out

An incompetent boob that’s in way over his idealistic head. A guy that makes Jimmy Carter’s foreign policy look competent. What a putz this Barack Obama is. What did I say when Egypt was boiling over? I said under Obama’s “this is what Democracy looks like” pro-radical support the protesters policy, that Egypt would come back to haunt us.

Who’s right again, and who isn’t, as usual? Thank me very much for showing you how vastly superior, realistic and more qualified I am to lead this country than the bumbling idiot that currently is doing so. Look through the archives. I’ve been right on everything, Obama has been wrong on everything. I rest my case. Yeah… I am better than he is.

from The Gateway Pundit:

Just one year ago Egypt was a trusted US ally. Now, thanks to the financial and political support of the current US administration for the overthrow the Mubarak regime, Egyptians are wildly chanting for a new Holocaust at their soccer games.

Report on TSA failures will “knock your socks off!”

The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is without comparison, the most worthless waste of taxpayer dollars in U.S. history. It is a total and complete, 100% failure that should be defunded and eliminated, along with the Bush created monster, the Department of Homeland Security.

An irrefutable truth is the TSA is absolutely useless and has done nothing, let me repeat that truth, nothing, to make the traveling public safer. That’s right, kids… not one thing, period. That is a fact that is not arguable for a person with an IQ above that of a field mouse.

There have been dozens, if not more arrests of TSA personal committing crimes, there currently over 67,000 claims of stolen items by the TSA, and that’s just for starters.

The chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which oversees the TSA, has asserted that the release of a classified report on TSA security failures will renew calls for the replacement of the agency with private airport security personnel.

“The failure rate (for body scanning equipment) is classified but it would absolutely knock your socks off,” Florida Republican, Rep. John L. Mica told reporters during a briefing Monday.

Mica also asserted that recorded instances of pat downs failing to detect contraband are “off the charts.” This information is also currently still classified, but is due to be released within weeks as part of an upcoming committee report on the TSA’s first decade.

Mica suggested that the TSA’s performance report would read “sort of like the record of the Marx Brothers”.

The TSA has withheld results of its official security tests, despite repeated requests to release the information under the Freedom of Information Act. Read the rest

Let’s make this perfectly clear. You don’t ignore FOIA requests unless you have something to hide, and we all know the TSA has plenty to hide.

The news from Libya just keeps getting better and better

Days? No, that’s been changed to weeks. Check that, not weeks, but now months. Yup, this short little in and out of Libya has now turned in to months. I suspect that sometime in the future we will be discussing years.

WASHINGTON (AP) – U.S.-led military action in Libya has bolstered rebels fighting Moammar Gadhafi’s forces, but the international operation could continue for months, the Obama administration says.

As if that’s not bad enough, did you know that the Obama administration is supporting and aiding Al Qaeda? Yeah, the very same Al Qaeda that wants all of us (including you leftists) dead. The very same Al Qaeda that attacked us on 9/11.

U.S.-backed anti-government forces in Libya are being led by al-Qaeda fighters according to an interview with a Libyan rebel figure in Il Sole 24 Ore, an Italian newspaper. So, after ten years of trying to “disarm and dismantle” al -Qaeda in Afghanistan, the U.S. might be facilitating its rise in Libya.

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi admitted earlier today that he personally recruited 250 Libyans to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of these same fighters are, according to al-Hasidi, “today on the front lines in Adjabiya” fighting against Moammar Gaddafi’s forces….

Not only did al-Hasidi battle U.S troops in Iraq, he has also fought against “the foreign invasion” in Afghanistan.

Oh, and here’s the kicker. Gaddafi told us repeatedly that the rebels were linked to Al-Qaeda.

Ironically, Gaddafi has claimed for weeks that the rebel movement was linked to al-Qaeda, yet the international community saw these assertions as typical propagandist maneuvering by the Libyan dictator.

What a mess! So when I say that Obama is an amateur, completely incompetent and worse than Jimmy Carter. Ya think that just maybe I might be on to something?

THE TELEGRAPH: Obama’s timid foreign policy is an embarrassment for a global superpower

I’ve stated over and over that Barack Obama is weak. So weak in fact that he makes Jimmy Carter look competent. So weak, that even Neville Chamberlain would be embarrassed. I’ve said that our allies no longer respect us, and our enemies no longer fear us. I’ve also said the world has taken note of Obama’s weakness as evidenced in The Telegraph by a country that Obama hates with a passion. The United Kingdom. This in from London:

The débacle of Washington’s handling of the Libya issue is symbolic of a wider problem at the heart of the Obama administration’s foreign policy. The fact that it took ten days and at least a thousand dead on the streets of Libya’s cities before President Obama finally mustered the courage to call for Muammar “mad dog” Gaddafi to step down is highly embarrassing for the world’s only superpower, and emblematic of a deer-in-the-headlights approach to world leadership. Washington seems incapable of decisive decision-making on foreign policy at the moment, a far cry from the days when it swept entire regimes from power, and defeated America’s enemies with deep-seated conviction and an unshakeable drive for victory.

Just a few years ago the United States was genuinely feared on the world stage, and dictatorial regimes, strategic adversaries and state sponsors of terror trod carefully in the face of the world’s most powerful nation. Now Washington appears weak, rudderless and frequently confused in its approach. From Tehran to Tripoli, the Obama administration has been pathetically slow to lead, and afraid to condemn acts of state-sponsored repression and violence. When protesters took to the streets to demonstrate against the Islamist dictatorship in Iran in 2009, the brutal repression that greeted them was hardly a blip on Barack Obama’s teleprompter screen, barely meriting a response from a largely silent presidency.

In contrast to Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, President Obama fails to see the United States as an exceptional nation, with a unique role in leading the free world and standing up to tyranny. In his speeches abroad he has frequently found fault with his own country, rather than projecting confidence in American greatness. From Cairo to Strasbourg he has adopted an apologetic tone rather than demonstrating faith in America as a shining city upon a hill, a beacon of freedom and liberty. A leader who lacks pride in his own nation’s historic role as a great liberator simply cannot project strength abroad.

It has also become abundantly clear that the Obama team attaches little importance to human rights issues, and in contrast to the previous administration has not pursued a freedom agenda in the Middle East and elsewhere. It places far greater value upon engagement with hostile regimes, even if they are carrying out gross human rights abuses, in the mistaken belief that appeasement enhances security. This has been the case with Iran, Russia and North Korea for example. This administration has also been all too willing to sacrifice US leadership in deference to supranational institutions such as the United Nations, whose track record in standing up to dictatorships has been virtually non-existent.
