2 Women Escape Overnight House Fire in Lexington

A fire started just after midnight Monday in the 8800 block of Lexington Avenue in the City of Lexington.

Two people who were walking by the home spotted the fire and called 911. Two women who were inside the home got out safely.

Firefighters tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS a preliminary investigation shows a light fixture on the outside of the house likely started the fire.

First Homicide Victim in Dayton in 26 Years Identified

Investigators have released the name of a Dayton woman found dead in her home Friday.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner say 58-year-old Georgia Bogema died of multiple sharp force injuries.

Officers found Bogema dead in the home on the 13800-block of Vinewood Lane North around 4:30 a.m. Friday. They arrested her husband, but he has not been charged yet.

This is the first homicide in Dayton since 1984.

Liriano rocked as Twins fall to Baltimore

Adam Jones had three hits and three RBIs, and Mark Reynolds drove in two runs Wednesday to lead a Baltimore Orioles’ split squad over the Minnesota Twins 11-2.
