Since it’s Halloween, how about a haunted house murder tale?

via the New York Post:

A Bonanno crime family associate involved in a grisly “haunted house” mob murder on Staten Island was sentenced Friday to time already served in prison, officials said.

Michael Maggio, who previously had pleaded guilty to racketeering charges stemming from the grisly March 2005 murder of another Bonanno mobster, has already served nearly six years in prison, officials said during a hearing before Brooklyn federal Judge Allyne Ross.

During his years as a wiseguy, Maggio lead a crew on Staten Island and reported to Gino Galestro, a Bonanno soldier officials said.

But after his arrest, Maggio switched sides, become a government informant, and helped FBI agents investigate crimes implicating his former mob colleagues, officials say.

Now he will be given a new identity and resettled elsewhere in the US under the Justice Department’s witness protection program.

Maggio has admitted to joining with several other mobsters and carrying out the gruesome murder of Bonanno associate Robert McKelvey six years ago.

The planned hit took place at the old Kreischer Mansion, a turreted 19th Century residence built by an industrialist in the Charleston section that is said to be “haunted.” Read the rest

DUMBASS: Girl, 17, in critical condition after getting tangled in noose at haunted house

“I’m going to like stand up on the sides of this here bathtub, it’s like ya gotta have like a really good sense of balance cuz it’s like slippery too, and like ya could fall, and then I’m gonna like put my head in the noose. It’ll be like really scary!”

Yeah! What a swell idea Ellie Mae, why didn’t I think of that?

via the Daily Mail:

A 17-year-old girl is in a critical condition after she became tangled in a noose at a Halloween haunted house.

Police said the girl, who was working as an actress at the attraction in St Louis, Missouri, was found unconscious with the prop around her neck.

The girl is thought to have fallen off a bathtub at Creepyworld where she had been working for two weeks…

It is thought that members of the public may have walked past her thinking she was a scary prop…

Captain Ron Arnhart of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said: ‘We noticed a bathtub was there. It appears as though the individual stood up on the sides of the bathtub and for whatever reason, put their head in this noose.

‘It looks like her feet may have slipped,’ he told local station KTVI. ‘It looks like an unfortunate accident.’ Read the whole story

So, have the nanny staters got a “ban the haunted house movement” going yet? Perhaps the overreactionary knee-jerkers will want to regulate and “OSHA-ize” haunted houses now. After all, they actually believe they can legislate stupidity, which is pretty stupid in itself.
