Some leftists here, around the Twin Cities, including those who have (and still are) employed as writers for the Star Tribune newspaper have accused me of being a selfish and greedy, heartless individual with no remorse about throwing those in need under the bus. I always find that amusing, and ask them how much they’ve donated to charity. I’ve never gotten a straight answer, but I sure have been ignored with that question.
Well, truth be told, I have donated more to charity than the Vice President of the United States. It’s not even close. I also donate my time. Not for the photo-op, but for the satisfaction of helping. You can’t say that about the Vice President.
According to the White House, “Together, [the Bidens] reported adjusted gross income of $379,035. The Bidens paid $87,900 in total federal tax for 2011. They paid $13,843 in Delaware income tax and $3,614 in Virginia income tax. The Bidens contributed $5,540 to charity in 2011.”
In other words, the Bidens donated less than 1.5 percent of their adjusted gross income to charity.
It’s people who think like Biden, help the poor, help the victims, help (fill-in-the-blank) and if you don’t want to, you’re greedy, mean-spirited, etc… Thing is, he and those that think like him all want to help as long as it’s somebody elses money that pays for that help. As all on the left, Biden is a hypocrite.
Less than 1.5%. Wow! Talk about being selfish and greedy.
