Grand Rapids Education Association President Paul Helder wants to pull a Saddam Hussein and use the kids as human shields. What a scumbag.
The Grand Rapids school board Monday night created a new committee to see what it might do to protest the state government’s expected spending cuts in education. During that discussion, the president of the Grand Rapids teachers union (GREA) suggested that public school students be sent to Lansing to be part of demonstrations against the proposed budget cuts. GREA’s Paul Helder said it would be a field trip for a lesson in civics. Helder also told the school board that it might consider “taking an action of some kind that requires the rescheduling” of classes.
The board promised Superintendent Dr. Bernard Taylor nothing would interfere with the students’ education.
I thought it would be a good idea to publish union goon Paul Helder’s address, phone numbers and email addresses, just in case someone wants to get a hold of him. Know what I mean? Got his picture too, so you know what he looks like.
