Government Motors Lays Off 1,300 Due To Poor Volt Sales

Chevy Volt, the 21st century’s Edsel and Trabant all rolled into one really crappy car that the dealers don’t even want on there lots.

Oh sure, they have sales, but mostly by Obamaites and environmental kooks in the form of fleet sales. Barack Obama’s federal government, Barack Obama’s good friend Jeff Immelt and his company that pays no taxes, General Electric, and of course the salad-head kooks that conduct business in Sacramento for the State of California. Other than that… nada.

The free market is telling Government Motors, No Thank You. If GM were smart, they would cancel the Volt and carry it out to the auto graveyard to rest in peace with another GM gem, the Chevette.

“Even with sales up in February over January, we are still seeking to align our production with demand,” GM spokesman Chris Lee said. The car company had hoped to sell 45,000 Chevy Volts in America this year, according to the Detroit News, but has only sold about 1,626…

Can you believe they are actually going to restart the Volt lines? Well, with the government and the unions running the show, their certainly isn’t any shortage of stupidity at GM, is there?

GM Junk recalls the crappy Volt that nobody wants

The Volt. Biggest piece of shit on the market along with the Fisker. The only reason this crap heap is still being produced is because of the government. In a free market (as opposed to Obamunisim) the Volt would have died.

It’s a safety hazard, a ticking molotov cocktail. Funny, whenever the private sector has something a little off, all the leftist politicians call for new laws, regulations or the outright banning of a product. You’re not seeing that with Government Motors are you?

DETROIT (AP) — General Motors will strengthen the structure around the batteries in its Volt electric cars to keep them safe during crashes, a person briefed on the matter said Thursday.

GM will ask Volt owners to return the cars to dealers for structural modifications, said the person, who did not want to be identified because GM executives plan to announce the repairs later Thursday.

The fixes are similar to a recall and involve about 8,000 Volts sold in the U.S. in the past two years. GM is making the repairs after three Volt batteries caught fire following crash tests done by federal safety regulators. The fires occurred seven days to three weeks after tests and have been blamed on a coolant leak that caused an electrical short.

Let’s cut to the chase. The car is a piece of shit, a bad idea from the get-go. It’s junk that shouldn’t be allowed on any city street except the one leading to the town dump.

Anybody that buys one is either A.) Stupid, or B.) a self righteous jerk-off looking for attention and a soapbox to stand on while preaching to us minions about “environmental justice,” while we know this is a lemon in spite of the elitist-speak from said jerk-off.
