You know, I still haven’t been repaid by GM for the loan (bailout), have you? Since day one I was never in favor of bailing out GM. We’re never getting our money back. Maybe congress can do up some legislation banning any government bailouts in the future. Sounds like a good idea to me.
In a post last week I noted that the bailout of Government Motors was nothing but a gift to greedy big labor. Here’s what I wrote:
Hey! Speaking of bailouts… Did anyone get a check in the mail from GM yet? Oh! Silly me. We aren’t getting any checks in the mail from GM, all that money went to big labor.
As usual, right again!
Now this:
DETROIT (AP) — The United Auto Workers union won $5,000 signing bonuses and the possibility of sweeter profit-sharing checks as part of a new four-year contract with General Motors Co., two people briefed on the talks said Saturday.
The deal, which was reached late Friday, also includes a $2- to $3-per-hour pay raise for entry-level workers over the life of the contract and guarantees more union jobs, the people said.
Union greed. Pure and simple. Nothing more, nothing less. By the way, in that same post I wrote last week, this item was also included:
According to a government report, taxpayers will lose $14 billion in the bailout.
Bottom line, the greedy unions are taking our money, the money they owe us for saving their sorry asses. They just flipped us the canary, bit the hand that fed them, and stiffed us. How’s that for gratitude? Union greed, baby!!! How does it feel getting a hot poker up your keister? You can ultimately thank Barack Obama and the Democrats, they made it all possible! Remember that next year when you’re at the voting booth. Oh don’t worry, I’ll remind you.
