He just can’t help himself, he thinks our money is his to spend for the collective

This Barack Obama is something from out of this world. He can’t help himself, he’s so intent on raising taxes he’ll do anything to have us be like Europe where most of our money feeds big government.

Common sense for most people is when you run out or low on money, you stop spending, but then nobody ever accused Barack Obama of having common sense. In his world, when you run out of money, you squeeze the taxpayers for more. Cut spending? Surely you jest! This guy is so wrapped in socialist ideology he’ll never see reality.

President Obama called on Congress Wednesday to pass a transportation funding bill that includes an extension of the federal gas tax, claiming the move would protect about 1 million jobs.

A million jobs you say! Care to be specific? Because I don’t see the logic of your funny thinking, Mr. President. What you are saying is if we don’t raise the gas tax, jobs will be lost. That doesn’t make any sense. Are you talking government jobs? If you are, good! That will save us money, you see government only takes, those people don’t contribute. Once they hit the private sector and pay taxes, then and only then do they contribute their “fair share.”

Before we go any further, I know some dumbass will say, “well government employee’s pay taxes.” Umm, no. Not really. Their wages are paid by tax revenue, that means whatever they “pay” for taxes, is somebody else’s tax money that’s already been collected, they’re just giving a portion of it back to the agency that collects that money. Do you understand what I’m trying to get at? Government only consumes. Nothing else.

Though the president describes the proposal as a transportation bill, its key component is the federal gas tax, which has been 18.4 cents per gallon for nearly two decades. The money is used to fund road construction and repair, as well as other projects — the tax costs Americans an average of $100 a year.

The call for renewal comes as gas prices remain high — the national average for a gallon of regular is about $3.62, a dollar more than a year ago. Some conservatives want to allow states, not the federal government, to raise and spend the gas tax money.

But Obama said America’s infrastructure — everything from bridges to public transit — needs the funding now. He said a 10-day delay would cost $1 billion in lost funding. He said 1 million people could lose their jobs over the course of next year without the renewal. Obama called on Congress to pass the “clean” extension “as soon as they come back” from break next week.

Again, what million jobs specifically? The same as those 6 million “saved and created” stimulus jobs that were never “saved or created?” He’s fear-mongering again.

Run that one piece by me again. “America’s infrastructure — everything from bridges to public transit — needs the funding now.” Why wasn’t infrastructure a priority in 2009? Why now all of a sudden?

Well… maybe if he hadn’t have blown all our money on socialism, things like 2 trillion dollars on ObamaCare socialized medicine, another trillion on a phony stimulus which was nothing but a spending spree, or the hundreds of billions he’s allocated to the choo-choo trains or increasing the Welfare Dept. budget by 900 billion dollars we’d actually have the money to spend on infrastructure. Hmmm… I wonder if he’s even thought about that? Probably not.

You want money for infrastructure Mr. President, then start cutting your big government, and stop expecting us to pay for your irresponsibility. I’m sick of it.

53% Oppose Gas Tax Hike

Voters oppose any increase in the federal gas tax even if the money goes only to developing and keeping up Interstate highways.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 33% of Likely U.S. Voters would favor a modest increase in the gas tax even if they knew the revenue would be used only to pay for building, maintaining and repairing the Interstate Highway System. Fifty-three percent (53%) would oppose any such gas tax hike even if the money was dedicated only to the Interstate system. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided.

Amongst skyrocketing gas prices, poor economy, Governor wants to raise gas tax, guess what party this genius is from?

The average price of a gallon of gas as of this writing in Maryland is $3.95. With the stroke of a pen Governor Martin O’Malley wants to make it $4.07 per gallon. Let’s see if I have this right. Gas prices are rising every day to unaffordable levels for a lot of people, and this jackass wants to raise the gas tax! Now that’s a great idea, huh Sparky? Yeah, he’s a Democrat. How’d you guess?

The false assumption about Democrats is, they are for the little guy, the average American. Really? How is taking more of your money, particularly in these tough economic times, making your wallet thinner, benefitting the little guy, the average American? I’m not seeing the logic behind that one. To a normal person with common sense, it looks like they are purposely hurting the little guy, the average American.

When you take from people, making their wallet thinner, and by doing so, creating poverty, tell me again how that helps the little guy, the average American. Like I said, I don’t see the logic behind that gem.
