Anonymous Takes Out the FTC in Protest Over ACTA, Google Privacy

The hacker collective Anonymous has struck government websites again, this time the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the National Consumer Protection Week websites.  According to the Associated Press, “both sites were replaced with a violent German-language video satirizing the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, or ACTA.” A pastebin page to which some of the Anonymous associated Twitter accounts are linking outlines the message that was distributed by the hackers, as well as a link to the violent video mentioned in the AP article.

The hackings were in response both to Google’s recent changes to its terms of

1st Amendment Assault: Under Obama U.S falls to 47th in press freedom rankings

This isn’t good at all. Totalitarianism is creeping in at a rapid pace, and try as you might Lefty, it is occurring during the Obama Administration with his policies firmly in place. Just like losing our AAA credit happened during the Obama presidency, meaning it’s not Bush or the Republicans fault, no matter how much spin you keep applying. Facts are facts and they are stubborn things.

Four more years, eh? Thanks, but no thanks. I pass.

The annual report by Reporters Without Borders has been released, showing the United States fell 27 points on the list due to the many arrests of journalists covering Occupy Wall Street protests.

The slide in the United States places it just behind Comoros and Taiwan in a group with Argentina and Romania.

Occupy Wall Street: The Implications on the Bill of Rights

For very good and valid reasons, Americans understand the extraordinary importance of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the right peacefully to assemble for redress of grievances.  That, of course, is the rationale for the Occupy Wall Street (“OWS”) movement by which thousands of protestors are encamping in various public places around the country.

Free Speech is a one way street with the left

The hypocrite left strikes again! It’s their “constitutional right” and “free speech” when they do it, but when the other side does… well, it’s hate speech and needs to be stopped!

Gotta love what C.C. Campbell-Rock said. “He wouldn’t do that to Bush, I’m sure.” Maybe, maybe not. But she neglects to mention all the hatred and vile signs that popped up depicting Bush. Then there’s Raymond Rock who’s obviously an old hippie playing the race card, and a really stupid one to boot that likely went on one too many magic carpet rides back in the day, is an idiot. It has nothing to do with race, you flashback infested moron.

Like I said, it’s free speech and the 1st Amendment when they do it, and they have the “right,” but when it comes to the other side… it’s gotta go. You’re all hypocrites. Doesn’t that bother you people, just a little?

Sign in front of a Florida business

This sign was prominently displayed in front of a business in Florida and you are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory sign.

However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps one of our greatest liberties.

And after all, it is only a sign, right?

You may ask: “What kind of business would dare post such a sign?”

Answer: A Funeral Home!

You gotta love it!!!

Free Speech Anarchists Attempt To Silence Free Speech

Remember what I said about that mental illness thing? Here we go with yet another example. You have the right to free speech as long as it is approved.

Every one of them is a hypocrite that suffers from some degree of mental illness. No exceptions, including the elitist professor types, the president, to the on the street protesting belligerents, every one of them is the same, it’s just the degree of the radicalism that’s different. They all have the same ideology.

via The Blaze:

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say The Olympian and one of the newspaper’s photographers were targets of vandalism that included anarchist graffiti and an acidic substance.

Police said Friday graffiti was painted at the Tumwater, Wash., home of photographer Tony Overman. The words “Overman snitch” were painted on a newspaper delivery truck and an apparently acidic substance was thrown on the exterior of The Olympian’s building.

Overman told the newspaper that he believes a group of self-described anarchists is trying to intimidate him so that he doesn’t take pictures of group members during public demonstrations. He says previously published photos have been used by police to identify anarchists.

Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Ban on Hate Speech

Adults nationwide may believe hate is growing in America, but that doesn’t mean they want the government interfering with free speech.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Adults shows that just 28% say it would be a good idea for United States to ban hate speech like some European nations and Canada do.  A majority (54%) opposes a ban on hate speech. Another 18% are undecided.

Three-out-of-four adults (74%) say allowing free speech without government interference is better than letting the government decide what types of hate speech should be banned. Just 11% hold the opposite view that the government should be able to decide what types of speech should be outlawed. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided.

Even more adults (81%) say giving people the right to free speech is more important than making sure no one is offended by what others say. Just 11% believe it is more important to make sure no one is offended.
