ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A Stanford University ecologist who’s is a leading researcher and writer in the emerging field of protecting the environment by attaching a monetary value to all the varied benefits humans receive from nature will give a free public lecture in St. Paul on Monday.

Gretchen C. Daily’s lecture is titled “Harmonizing People and Nature: A New Business Model.” It’s co-sponsored by the Freshwater Society and the University
