The Racism of Daily Kos for GOP Candidate Mia B. Love

I was recently informed about a piece by Daily Kos promoting racism versus Republican candidate Mia B. Love.  I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Mia in person at CPAC and welcome her campaign to bring conservative values to Utah’s newly formed 4th Congressional District.  Read more about her campaign at Love 4 Utah.

The Kos piece, written in January 2012, is mentioned in this eye opening piece from 54°40′ Or Fight!
How is it acceptable in our “post-racial” world that Daily Kos promotes

Did Top Liberal Arts College Falsify SAT Data to Legitimize Racial Preferences?

Claremont McKenna College, a private liberal arts college in Los Angeles, has earned international infamy for fraudulently misreporting its SAT scores to game the U.S. News & World Report rankings. Richard Vos, dean of admissions since 1987, resigned in disgrace Monday, starting a nationwide debate about the role of SATs in higher education and the integrity of Claremont’s admission process. But absent from any analysis is this: Vos began falsifying SAT scores in 2005, right around the time Claremont began to institutionalize racial preferences.

Errant Email to Congressional ‘Allies’ on Keystone Pipeline Exposes Media Matters’ ‘Non-Partisan, Tax-Exempt’ Fraud

Media Matters for America (MMfA) sent an email yesterday, likely in error, to the office of Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK)–hardly a regular recipient of MMfA spam–attempting to coordinate Democrat opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline that was recently blocked by the Obama administration.

The email apparently targeted staff from the Senate’s Committee on Environment and Public Works, and recipients included staff working for Sen. Inhofe as Ranking Member, apparently in error…..

Looking Back on Obama’s Five Previous Addresses to Congress: Waste, Fraud, and Abuse from the Podium

Tonight, President Barack Obama will deliver his third State of the Union Address–and his sixth address to a joint session of Congress. That’s more than either President Bush or President Clinton had addressed in any single term.
Despite his purported skill as an orator, none of Obama’s addresses to Congress has been particularly successful. They are typically remembered more for the rancor they caused than for any positive effects.

Obama is expected to make his inequality the focus of his address. That’s an important campaign theme, as well as a refrain of the Occupy Wall Street movement….

SOPA/PIPA, Net Neutrality and the Good Guys and Bad Guys Against Both

The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) (and its Senate alternative, the Protect Intellectual Property Act [PIPA]) have been taking a bipartisan beating.  Conservatives have joined with Leftists to savage the bill and thus its chances for passage.

I too am opposed to this iteration of SOPA – it remains too overly broad.
But something similar and more finely, sharply crafted – must become law.  And conservatives will need to reorient themselves when a better version of the bill comes along – and support it.

We cannot look at the SOPA debate without putting it into the broader context…

Blinded by the Left: How Marxists Wrote Ron Paul’s Defense Cuts Plan

While many conservatives rightly admire Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul’s principled economic and constitutional views, they are often bamboozled, even appalled, by the Texan’s defense and foreign policy ideas.

It seems, that when it comes to defense, Ron Paul is stuck in 1776. He seems not to realize that America’s enemies, real or potential, Russia and China, and Iran chief among them, have a very long reach. The continental US is only partially protected by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans . The enemy can now attack the American homeland with ICBMs,

Military Probing Army Reserve Corporal Who Campaigned for Ron Paul in Uniform in Iowa – UPDATE: Army Disputes Number of Tours Claimed by Soldier

Big Government has learned that Corporal Jesse Thorsen, 28, who promoted presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) while in uniform during yesterday’s Iowa caucuses, is being probed by his Army Reserve unit for violation of Department of Defense Regulations.

Members of the U.S. armed forces are prohibited by Department of Defense Directive 1344.10 from campaigning or participating in public political activities while in uniform. The purpose of the directive is to preserve the political independence of the military.

Big Government has confirmed through defense sources that Cpl. Thorsen is a combat engineer in the 402nd Engineer Company

Surprise, Surprise: Democrats Join GOP Caucuses to Push Ron Paul

Progressives are hoping to rock the vote in the 2012 Iowa caucuses… by voting for Ron Paul.

The reliably left-wing Mother Jones recently ran a story asking if Iowa progressives were Ron Paul’s wildcard in the race.  The story pointed to supporters like Francis Thicke, an organic farmer from Fairfield, Iowa, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination for secretary of agriculture in 2010.

On Tuesday, Thicke announced his support for Paul ”to keep his voice for peace and his voice to reduce the military in the debate, because he will challenge the other Republican candidates.” Thicke promised his Democratic Party county chairman that he would vote for Obama over Paul without a doubt, because he doesn’t support dismantling the government. “This is a tactical thing” to expand voters’ awareness, Thicke told Mother Jones.

These tactical shenanigans might seem to echo “Operation Chaos,” the Rush Limbaugh operation that saw Republicans crossing over to vote for Hilary in the 2008 Democratic primary–except that Operation Chaos was largely applied to primaries, not to caucuses.

Red Alert: New Unconstitutional Presidential Power Grab May Be Imminent

Senate Republicans have been holding up the confirmation of Richard Cordray to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau until changes to the agency’s structure are made to provide oversight and accountability at the agency. But sources from inside the Capitol tell Capitol Confidential that a recess appointment of Richard Cordray to head the unconstitutional CFPB could come as early as tomorrow.
