St. Paul Declares Flood Emergency

St. Paul officials aren’t waiting any longer–today they issued an emergency declaration for spring flooding.

A city spokesperson says the declaration is just the first step “in ensuring our residents and infrastructure remains safe.”   City officials are predicting high flood waters for the city from the Mississippi River after this winter’s record snowfall.

Obama Prepared to Tap Petroleum Reserve if Needed

nullPresident Barack Obama says he’s prepared to tap the country’s emergency oil reserve should the situation demand it.
