Join the real world tonight by turning on all your lights, run your dishwasher, do a load of laundry, fire up all of your internal combustion engines and celebrate the marvels of fossil fuel based energy during human achievement hour, between 8:30 and 9:30 tonight.

Just imagine where we’d be without fossil fuels. Not far removed from the stone age. No planes, trains and automobiles, no refrigerators or freezers, no air conditioning, no public transportation other than horse-drawn carriage, not as much food as farmers could not tend to their crops with fertilizers, water, etc… Medical marvels such as the polio vaccine would not exist. No plastic, which means no life saving medical devices, we take a lot of things, in fact most things for granted that we have now, but would not have if it weren’t for fossil fuels.
