Trump Endorsement: Did I Say Newt? I Meant Romney

LAS VEGAS (AP) – In a surprise twist, Donald Trump planned to endorse Mitt Romney—not Newt Gingrich—for the Republican presidential nomination Thursday, three Republican officials told The Associated Press. Gingrich’s camp had been so confident of winning the endorsement that it had leaked that Trump would support the former House speaker.

Trump was set to make the announcement in Las Vegas at the luxury hotel bearing his name, with Romney in attendance. Nevada holds its presidential caucuses on Saturday.

Here We Go Again: Trump Still Mulling 2012 Run

I don’t hate the man, but either do it or not:
In his new book, “Time To Get Tough” – Donald Trump does one of the things critics said he would never do in his flirting with running for president — and that is disclose his financial statement.

From Ronald to Donald

I like Donald Trump. Always have. But, is he presidential material? Speaking for myself, I don’t know at this point. If the sole purpose of the next president is to get the economy back on track, it’s The Donald, hands down.

On the one hand, the incumbant is a community organizer with no private sector experience (and it shows) that has ruined the economy, and on the other, you have a winner that is experienced, successful, and knows the economy. It’s pretty clear-cut who the better person is.

Trump is at, or near the top in every poll regarding possible GOP candidates. Why is that? We don’t know enough about him yet, so why do you suppose that is? His successful business expertise is no doubt alluring for a lot of us, but there’s something else also.

The Donald’s straight talk. His toughness in calling Obama out along with not being politically correct. He says the things that we all want the cowardly career and professional politicians to say. That is probably his biggest draw.

He is the one that will get down in the trenches, and get just as mean and dirty as Obama, he won’t run a candyass campaign like McCain did. The Donald is a winner, and unlike McCain, he will go after Obama’s achilles heel. And that is what I think most of the American people are looking for, and haven’t had for a very long time.

Those are just my random thoughts about Trump at this point. What about you? Do you have any?
