I agree 100% with an article in today’s Telegraph. It’s spot on. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mikki O. has no class at all. She’s a selfish, privileged, disgusting human being.
We more resemble a monarchy than a constitutional republic, where the queen can do as she see’s fit, for her own personal indulgence, with the forced collection of monies commandeered from the subjects of the empire, via taxation.
There are those that will justify and excuse Queen Mikki’s spending, yet those same people are the one’s you will find protesting on Wall Street, the same people who scream about greed, hate corporations and profits. Well, nobody ever accused them of having an IQ above 45.
At least with corporations and big business you get something. You get products that they manufacture, you get a tax base that the government collects revenue from, goods and services, you get a job and a paycheck along with healthcare and other benefits, there’s a return in other words. What do you get back from Michelle Obama? That’s right, absolutely nothing. But she sure takes a lot, doesn’t she? What’s the definition of selfish again?
I suspect most Americans, however, will view this trip as a waste of public funds at a time when the US is running a massive budget deficit and faces a national debt of more than $14 trillion. In an age of austerity, even the First Lady should be expected to make sacrifices, not least when she is spending other people’s money. It is a matter of public interest how public figures spend taxpayer funds, and Mrs Obama should be held to account….
There can be no doubt that this latest revelation about Michelle Obama’s spending is an embarrassment to the White House at a time when the president is talking about spending cuts, and at least trying to give the impression that he is reining in the deficit. It is also a symbol of the gulf between the taxpayer-subsidised, privileged lifestyle of America’s ruling elites in Washington, compared to the tens of millions of hard-working Americans who are struggling to pay the mortgage, hold on to their homes, put food on the table for their families, and simply make ends meet.
Mikki O. has gotta go!
