A Florida man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death was arrested at a library in Hastings Saturday.
Authorities say 46-year-old Abraham Mpaka of North Miami Beach, Fla., had been wanted for murder for more than two years. He’s accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death as she watched television in a Florida apartment in 2008.
Officials with the FBI’s Minneapolis office say leads helped them locate Mpaka at a Hastings library Saturday afternoon. He was arrested without incident and is being held in the Dakota County Jail awaiting extradition to Florida.
Authorities say Mpaka, a native of Nigeria, had been featured on “America’s Most Wanted” multiple times.
