Jimmy Carter: Occupy movement has been ‘relatively successful’ & the U.S. Is ‘extra stingy’

From The Blaze

Former President Jimmy Carter said on Wednesday that Occupy organizers have created a “relatively successful” movement because they focused national discussion on wealth disparity despite lacking leadership and a unifying set of goals.

The Georgia Democrat said at an event in Atlanta that Occupy organizers have succeeded in forcing the media and Congress to realize the “chasm is getting greater than leaps and bounds” between the rich and the poor.

“It‘s been relatively successful even acknowledging there’s no leadership, there‘s no coherence and there’s no single list of issues they want to succeed,” the former president said of the movement started late last year in lower Manhattan to decry corporate influence in government and wealth inequality.

OWS has money to burn

From NY Post

The cash is burning a hole in their pockets.

As the Occupy Wall Street movement loses steam, protesters are pitching new and creative ways to spend the $300,000 remaining in the kitty.

The group now raises just a few hundred bucks a day, down sharply from the tens of thousands that poured in daily at its height in November.

All told, it took in $706,855.91 in donations between Oct. 1 and Jan. 4. Much of what was already spent went to food, laundry, supplies and MetroCards.

Among the suggestions aired at recent OWS meetings on how to slice up the Occu-pie were to withdraw all the money in hundred-dollar bills, stuff the Benjamins in canvas bags and torch the cash in a bonfire on Wall Street.

Cindy Sheehan announces to Rose Parade occupiers she hasn’t paid income taxes in 8 years

From The Blaze

Speaking at Occupy Rose Bowl, anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced before a crowd of protesters that she hasn’t paid her income taxes since her son, U.S. Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq in 2004. Sheehan went on to justify her tax evasion by stating that she would not fund “the crimes against humanity” she claims are perpetrated by the U.S. government and military.

It is safe to assume, however, that the IRS doesn’t care what her reasons are, and will likely be knocking on the activist’s door sometime in 2012.

OWS: we are the equivalent of ‘Moses freeing Hebrews from Pharaoh’

From Pundit Press
We’ve covered the insanity of Occupy Wall Street for months now.  After rapes, murders, theft, arson, disease, and assaults, you would think that some of the people blindly following the movement would get a clue and leave.  Well, some have as the movement is fizzling out.  However, there are still many that foolishly cling to the lies their college professors shoved down their throats, utterly refusing to read a book or learn some facts.
These people continue the charade that is Occupy Wall Street.  And now, after claims of “genocide” and a “Holocaust” against supporters, OWS is now saying that they are slaves.  But, to put the cherry on top of the crazy as they so often do, the movement is now claiming that Occupy Wall Street is here to free people from the slavery that is capitalism, like Moses freeing the Hebrews from the clutches of the Egyptians.
