I can’t believe I’m singing the praises of President Carter, the man who up until January 20th of 2009 was the worst president in modern history, and perhaps all of history. Not any more. He’s been replaced.
A man whose policies decimated our economy and nobody thought any president could do worse, ever. Even through his bungling of the economy, Carter didn’t lose the triple A credit rating of the United States. Only Barack Obama has managed to accomplish that.
But this post isn’t about the economy, it’s about being presidential, showing real leadership, not letting the knee jerk uncontrollably, using common sense, and being realistic about a potentially grave situation.
I hope nobody is so deluded that they actually believe Obama would have done the same thing. He wouldn’t. He’s a coward. He probably would make a temporary White House on the west coast, evacuate everyone within a 100 mile radius, and there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever, he would order every nuclear power plant in the country to shut down. Just look what he did to our drilling because of the one BP spill. We still aren’t drilling.
Obama’s knee would be jerking a mile a minute and he’d need to find a clean pair of skivvies. He doesn’t possess leadership qualities. He’s an agitator and community organizer, not a leader. A divider, not a uniter, who places ideology above all else.
