A grim outlook for Senate Democrats, as far as the eye can see. 2012 doesn’t look good for the Party of Marxist Fellow Travelers, which is a good thing for America. Next year looks to bring in a Republican majority to the Senate to go along with the House, and it looks like 2014 won’t be any better for the blue’s who truly will be, “blue.”
It looks likely we could have a one party majority after next year’s election with the big difference being that the Republicans will govern, unlike their Democrat counterparts that “ruled” for the last two years. Huge difference between governing and ruling.
Also, should the GOP take back the Senate and have both House’s of Congress, they will not have the supermajority to do as they please like the Democrats did for 2 horrific, very dark years. Personally, I think that’s a good thing. No one party should have total ruling authority like the Democrats had. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. We need checks and balances.
According to Charlie Cook, when 2016 rolls around, it’s the Republicans that could be facing the same fate as the Democrats are today.
Note to the GOP: Just do your job, put the country first and don’t play games, you should be fine. In other words, govern like Chris Christie and Scott Walker. Do the right thing, and govern like you’ve only got the one term and let the chips fall where they may.
