Barack’s Hometown Chicago Tribune: “Why Obama should withdraw”

HA! HA! HA! LMAO!!! This is great! His own hometown newspaper is essentially telling him to withdraw his bid for reelection because he’s screwed the country up so badly in his first (and only) term. HA! HA! HA! LMAO!!! Worse than Jimmy Carter, Obama needs to leave!

When Ronald Reagan ran for re-election in 1984, his slogan was “Morning in America.” For Barack Obama, it’s more like midnight in a coal mine.

The sputtering economy is about to stall out, unemployment is high, his jobs program may not pass, foreclosures are rampant and the poor guy can’t even sneak a cigarette.

His approval rating is at its lowest level ever. His party just lost two House elections — one in a district it had held for 88 consecutive years. He’s staked his future on the jobs bill, which most Americans don’t think would work.

The vultures are starting to circle. Former White House spokesman Bill Burton said that unless Obama can rally the Democrat base, which is disillusioned with him, “it’s going to be impossible for the president to win.” Democrat consultant James Carville had one word of advice for Obama: “Panic.”

But there is good news for the president. I checked the Constitution, and he is under no compulsion to run for re-election. He can scrap the campaign, bag the fundraising calls and never watch another Republican debate as long as he’s willing to vacate the premises by Jan. 20, 2013.

That might be the sensible thing to do. Read the rest

Like a broken record, Obama calls for more taxes

It’s pretty clear to all now, that Barack Obama’s ideology and the United States of America are incompatible. He’s calling for higher taxes yet again. It’s clear his ideology is based on equal outcomes for all. They tried that once before in a country known as the Soviet Union, I know, I know. It failed because Barack wasn’t in charge!

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a blunt rejoinder to congressional Republicans, President Barack Obama called for $1.5 trillion in new taxes Monday, part of a total 10-year deficit reduction package totaling more than $3 trillion. He vowed to veto any deficit reduction package that cuts benefits to Medicare recipients but does not raise taxes on the wealthy and big corporations.

How is that for the pot calling the kettle black? Obama has already cut half a trillion from medicare himself to fund his socialized medicine law. He did it. Not the Republicans. Big corporations? Maybe Comrade O. should ask his good friend, GE Chairman Jeff Immelt, who is also on Obama’s economic panel why his company didn’t pay any taxes last year. Obama is such a hypocrite.

So it looks like Obama is going to create another debt crisis by his actions, or technically, inaction. He is so intent on destroying this country I actually question his patriotism.

Consumer Hope for Future Hits Lowest Level Since The Carter Years

It just keeps going from bad to worse to hopeless with this worse than Jimmy Carter clusterf – - k of a president.

The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan’s Economic Survey shows, via CNBC:

“Overall, the data indicate that a renewed downturn in consumer spending is as likely as not in the year ahead,” survey director Richard Curtin said in a statement.

“Even without a downturn, consumer spending will not be strong enough to enable the rapid job growth that is needed to offset reduced long-term expectations.”

The gauge of consumer expectations dipped to 47.0 from 47.4. It was the lowest level since May 1980. The economic outlook for the next 12 months fell to 38 from 40, the lowest since February 2009 when the world economy was gripped by the credit crisis…

Confidence in economic policies remained near historic lows after being damaged by political wrangling over raising the debt ceiling. Three out of four consumers expected bad times for the economy in the year ahead. Only half of respondents said the same at the beginning of the year…

The survey’s one-year inflation expectation rose to 3.7 percent from 3.5 percent, while the survey’s five-to-10-year inflation outlook was at 3.0 percent from 2.9 percent.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Obama admin reworked Solyndra loan to favor donor

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration restructured a half-billion dollar federal loan to a troubled solar energy company in such a way that private investors — including a fundraiser for President Barack Obama — moved ahead of taxpayers for repayment in case of a default, government records show.

Administration officials defended the loan restructuring, saying that without an infusion of cash earlier this year, solar panel maker Solyndra Inc. would likely have faced immediate bankruptcy, putting more than 1,000 people out of work.

Even with the federal help, Solyndra filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this month and laid off its 1,100 employees.

The Fremont, Calif.-based company was the first renewable-energy company to receive a loan guarantee under a stimulus-law program to encourage green energy and was frequently touted by the Obama administration as a model. Obama visited the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters last year, and Vice President Joe Biden spoke by satellite at its groundbreaking.

Since then, the implosion of the company and revelations that the administration hurried Office of Management and Budget officials to finish their review of the loan in time for the September 2009 groundbreaking has become an embarrassment for Obama as he sells his new job-creation program around the country. Comrade Obama works his way around congress

I told you a long time ago, and have been telling you since, Comrade Obama wants to make congress irrelevant. And as we judge him by his actions, we clearly see he has managed to accomplish that in many area’s. Namely socialized medicine.

Ever wonder why there is no border enforcement? Well, you need to read this.

Facing growing opposition to his economic proposals and dimming prospects that Congress will pass other parts of his agenda, President Obama told a Hispanic group in Washington Wednesday that when it comes to the issue of immigration, “I’d like to work my way around Congress.”

“As I mentioned when I was at La Raza a few weeks back, I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own,” Obama told a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. “There are times where — until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again — I’d like to work my way around Congress.”

Newsflash for Comrade O. Nancy Pelosi will never be speaker again.

As he continued, Obama conceded that “we’ve got laws on the books that have to be upheld.”  But he quickly added there are different ways to uphold the laws on the books. “You know as well as anyone that…how we enforce those laws is also important,” Obama said.  Last month, the administration made a major, unilateral change in immigration law enforcement when it announced that the government will not initiate deportation proceedings against illegal immigrants unless they have committed serious crimes.  To critics, Obama had indeed worked his way around Congress. Inflation jets upward

Good old Obamunism, isn’t it just swell! I truly enjoy spending 17 bucks for coffee, don’t you? Particularly knowing that when the evil George W. Bush was president, that same coffee only cost me 7 bucks. That’ll fix Bush, huh!

WASHINGTON (AP) — Consumers paid more for a range of goods and services last month, pushing up inflation and squeezing Americans’ purchasing power.

The Consumer Price Index rose 0.4 percent in August after jumping 0.5 percent in July. The core index, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose 0.2 percent.

For the 12 months that ended in August, the core index surged 2 percent, the biggest year-over-year increase in nearly three years. That’s at the high end of the Federal Reserve’s informal inflation target. It could limit the central bank’s ability to take further steps to try to revive the economy.

Inflation for the year ending August 31, 2011 was roughly 11.2%. Jimmy Carter-like inflation rates. How about another 4 years of Obamunism? Come on! You can’t tell me that you don’t want to pay 25 bucks for coffee, what are you? Selfish and greedy?

In the chart below, true inflation is represented by the blue line as it was when Carter was president. The red line indicates how the Obama regime and the apparatchik media reports inflation.

Comrade Obama working overtime to appease jewish voters

Look how disingenuous and phony I am.

Comrade O. has to be the most disingenuous person on the planet. He’s trying to shore up lost jewish voters with smooth talk. Actions speak louder than words. Look how he has treated the jews. Look how he treats Israel, look how he treats PM Netanyahu, look how he appeases the Palestinians, how he kowtow’s Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Look how he got the overrated Sen. Patrick Leahy to prepare legislation cutting, and in some cases eliminating aid for the Israeli military. Actions speak louder than words and I urge every American Jew to be ever mindful of this anti-Semitic president’s actions. His words mean nothing, look at his actions.

With jewish support weak now, chances are pretty good Obama won’t do much to irritate them. But if he wins re-election, look out. He will throw Israel under the bus again. I’d stake my life on it. 1967 borders. Don’t ever forget that is what Barack Obama wants. You know the old saying, “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.”

WASHINGTON — Not since Jimmy Carter in 1980 has a Democrat running for president failed to win a lopsided majority of the Jewish vote. This has been true during times of peace or war, and even when there has been deep acrimony between the White House and the Israeli government.

Republicans see a chance to change that in 2012, with President Obama locked in a tense relationship with Israel’s leaders and criticized by many American Jews as being too tough on a close and favored ally. Tuesday’s Republican upset in New York’s Congressional election, they say, is a sign of bad things to come for Mr. Obama.

Sensing trouble, the Obama campaign and Democrat Party leaders have mobilized to solidify the president’s standing with Jewish voters. The Democratic National Committee has established a Jewish outreach program. The campaign is singling out Jewish groups, donors and other supporters with calls and e-mails to counter the Republican narrative that Mr. Obama is hostile to Israel. Read the rest

Just remember this. Even when the jewish vote has consistently gone to Democrats in large numbers, the Republicans have always, and never wavered, supporting and standing with Israel and the jews. Obama has not. The Republican Party has been the jew’s best friend within the government in spite of the Republican Party not necessarily being warmly received by the jewish community. That’s loyalty and honor. What’s Barack given you?
