NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 26 (UPI) — Oil palm plantations in Borneo will be a leading cause of greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 unless protections are enacted and enforced, a U.S. study says.

First off. No. That is false. Palm oil will NOT be a leader in greenhouse gas emissions and secondly, big government doesn’t need any more overreach. This is just more nonsense to excuse government from grabbing more of our freedom in the name of some kooky, made-up fairy tale about the tired old climate change that does not exist, and it’s another way for government(s) to take more of our money. Quite simply put, this is a scam perpetrated by hucksters.

What’s the fuss about greenhouse gasses? Seriously, tell me. Who gives a rats ass about greenhouse gas emissions? They don’t mean squat as far as the big picture goes. Cut out greenhouse gas emissions and all life on Earth dies, period. That is a fact.

“But we’re emitting more greenhouse gasses than ever!” So what? Tell me what that has to do with the price of tea in China.

Earth has seen greenhouse gasses estimated to be 7,000 parts per million. Today the best estimates are 380 parts per million. It was like I said, so what about greenhouse gasses? It would take us hundreds of millions of years to reach 7,000. Greenhouse gasses mean nothing, and government certainly doesn’t need to “do something.”

Considering the Maldives are actually volcanoes, it’s inevitable at some point they may disappear which will have nothing to do with the weather, and everything to do with an eruption.

Apparently they don’t have science class in the primitive Maldives, and if their president is any indication of the people, they are a pretty dumb lot.

To: President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives

Mr. President,

You have recently held an undersea Cabinet meeting to raise awareness of the idea that global sea level is rising and hence threatens to drown the Maldives. This proposition is not founded in observational facts and true scientific judgments.

Therefore, I am most surprised at your action and must protest its intended message.

In 2001, when our research group found overwhelming evidence that sea level was by no means in a rising mode in the Maldives, but had remained quite stable for the last 30 years, I thought it would not be respectful to the fine people of the Maldives if I were to return home and present our results in international fora. Therefore, I announced this happy news during an interview for your local TV station. However, your predecessor as president censored and stopped the broadcast.

When you became president, I was hoping both for democracy and for dialogue. However, I have written to you twice without reply. Your people ought not to have to suffer a constant claim that there is no future for them on their own islands. This terrible message is deeply inappropriate, since it is founded not upon reality but upon an imported concept, which lacks scientific justification and is thus untenable. There is simply no rational basis for it.

Let me summarize a few facts.

(1) In the last 2000 years, sea level has oscillated with 5 peaks reaching 0.6 to 1.2 m above the present sea level.

(2) From 1790 to 1970 sea level was about 20 cm higher than today

(3) In the 1970s, sea level fell by about 20 cm to its present level

(4) Sea level has remained stable for the last 30 years, implying that there are no traces of any alarming on-going sea level rise.

(5) Therefore, we are able to free the Maldives (and the rest of low-lying coasts and island around the globe) from the condemnation of becoming flooded in the near future.

When I was president for the INQUA commission on Sea Level Changes and Coastal Evolution, we spent much effort on the question of present-to-future sea level changes. After intensive field studies, deliberation within the commission and discussions at five international meetings, we agreed on a “best estimate” for possible sea level changes by the year 2100. Our figure was +10 cm ±10 cm. This figure was later revised at +5 cm ±15cm (as given in Fig. 1). Such changes would imply small to negligible effects.

Such a small rise would pose no threat for the Maldives. Rather, it would be a natural return to the conditions existing from 1790 to 1970; i.e. to the position before the sea level fall in the 1970s.

So, Mr. President, when you ignore available observational facts, refuse a normal democratic dialogue, and continue to menace your people with the imaginary threat of a disastrous flooding already in progress, I think you are doing a serious mistake.

Let us, for Heaven’s sake, lift the terrible psychological burden that you and your predecessor have placed upon the shoulders of all people in the Maldives, who are now living with the imagined threat that flooding will soon drive them from their homes, a wholly false notion that is nothing but an armchair fiction artificially constructed by mere computer modeling constantly proven wrong by meticulous real-world observations.

Your cabinet meeting under the water is nothing but a misdirected gimmick or PR stunt. Al Gore is a master in such cheap techniques. But such misconduct is dishonest, unproductive and certainly most un-scientific.

Canada looks to exit climate kook Kyoto Treaty

Hey, I’ve got a great idea. Let’s enter a treaty that regulates air! If we use too many light bulbs, then we can pay a penalty! Wow! What a swell idea! Nothing like forced wealth redistribution on a global scale! When you get down to it, that’s global communism! And if you notice something else, these are always leftist ideas. Thank goodness for Prime Minister Harper.

Canada, the country furthest from meeting its commitment to cut carbon emissions under the Kyoto Protocol, may save as much as $6.7 billion by exiting the global climate change agreement and not paying for offset credits.

The country’s greenhouse-gas emissions are almost a third higher than 1990 levels, and it has a 6 percent CO2 reduction target for the end of 2012. If it couldn’t meet its goal, Canada would have to buy carbon credits, under the rules of the legally binding treaty.

Hey, that’s global cap and trade! You know, this is also Barack Obama’s vision. He wants us to be in that treaty, and here’s the bonus, he wants cap and trade here, on a national level too. So if he got his way, we’d be redistributing our wealth and imposing costly regulations not once, but twice! Brilliant!

Canada, which has the world’s third-largest proven oil reserves, would be the first of 191 signatories to the Kyoto Protocol to annul its emission-reduction obligations. While Environment Minister Peter Kent declined to confirm Nov. 28 that Canada is preparing to pull out of Kyoto, which may ease the burden for oil-sands producers and coal-burning utilities, he said the government wouldn’t make further commitments to it.

Good for Canada. Pull out of that ridiculous treaty and unchain that anchor around your neck before you jump in the pool.

That idiocy was started because most everyone fell for the hoax of global warming, and as we all know now, like a lot of us did then, there is no such thing and the data was manipulated and fraudulent anyway, to push a political agenda.

New United Nations IPCC Report: “No Climate Change”

Who told you so again? That’s right, I did, and I’ve been telling you this since this whole scam began years ago. Let me see a show of hands. How many of you were actually dumb enough to believe in that crap? Oh gee! Nobody is raising their hands now, what a shock! I guess I wouldn’t want to be known as an imbecile either.

In this new report due to be published in the near future, you know those “deadly greenhouse gasses?” Well, just like I’ve been telling you for years, man-made greenhouse gasses have no effect on the climate.

It says that we don’t know whether the climate will be warming or cooling in the next 20-30 years because the man-made signal is negligible relatively to the natural variability and that we only have low or medium confidence on whether or not the frequency of extreme events is changing and whether or not the greenhouse gases are behind these changes if any.

Oh, but things get even better. Check this out:

Climate change signals are expected to be relatively small compared to natural climate variability over the coming two to three decades. The IPCC authoritatively encourages former U.S. vice-president Al Gore, blogger Joseph Romm, and similar unhinged warmist crooks to eat their personal piles of feces and avoid the further presentation of this discredited material in the public.

Ouch! Those are some pretty strong words. For the future, climate catastrophe looks even dimmer for the climate kook cultists of the Coven of Climate Change:

“Uncertainty in the sign of projected changes in climate extremes over the coming two to three decades is relatively large because climate change signals are expected to be relatively small compared to natural climate variability”.

To put it simply, it’s just like I told you, there is no man-made climate change and man-made greenhouse gasses are a non-issue.

Yeah! It’s global warming alright

A winter storm, the earliest return to winter since 1969, the shortest duration between snowfalls, and the kooks will say it’s because of “climate change/global warming.”

What I want to know is, how come nobody is making the case for global cooling? Common sense, you know? It can’t snow if it’s warm, only if it’s cold. If you must have a made-up fairy tale of a planetary catastrophe, at least make it sound somewhat plausible, okay?

SAN FRANCISCO — A cold weather front took aim at Northern California Tuesday, packing a potent punch with as much as 10 inches of snow for the Sierra peaks, the earliest return of winter conditions to Tahoe since 1969, according to weather forecasters.

According to the Central Sierra Snow Lab, the flurries predicted with this storm will make the shortest duration between snow storms since 1969. The lab – located in Norden – got its last measurable snow on July 1 – 96 days ago.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the Sierra in advance of the storm. The forecasters predicted 5-10 inches of snow above 6,000 feet with winds gusting to 50 mph below the mountain ridges.

At lake level in Tahoe, the forecasters warned residents to be ready for several inches of slushy snow.Temperatures were expected to drop 15 to 25 degrees when the heart of the storm crosses over the northern half of the state early Wednesday.

“It’s unusual for fall. This is more typical of a winter storm,” said Steve Anderson, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Monterey.

So what is the cause of this snow? It’s just got to be “climate change!”

8.6 million tune in to Al Gore Climate Change special, well… not exactly

Or a loving family man who has selflessly made it his mission to travel the world acquiring as large a carbon footprint as possible in order to spread the word that we should all drastically reduce our carbon footprints? Climate Change: Naturally occuring, nothing to do with man

You can cite all the scientific facts and evidence in the world, and the climate kooks will let it go in one ear and out the other, clinging to the lie they’ve been told as the Gospel according to Luke. That’s why those people are kooks suffering from mental illness. They don’t want the truth, they want their fairy tale.

If Michael Crichton had lived to write a follow-up to State of Fear, the plotline might well have gone like this: at a top secret, state of the art laboratory in Switzerland, scientists finally discover the true cause of “global warming”. It’s the sun, stupid. More specifically – as the Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark has long postulated – it’s the result of cosmic rays which act as a seed for cloud formation. The scientists working on the project are naturally euphoric: this is a major breakthrough which will not only overturn decades of misguided conjecture on so-called Man Made Global Warming but will spare the global economy trillions of dollars which might otherwise have been squandered on utterly pointless efforts to reduce anthropogenic CO2 emissions. However, these scientists have failed to realise just how many people – alarmist scientists, huckster politicians, rent-seeking landowners like (the late Michael Crichton’s brilliant and, of course, entirely fictional creation) the absurd, pompous Sir Reginald Leeds Bt, green activists, eco-fund managers, EU technocrats, MSM environmental correspondents – stand to gain from the Man Made “Climate Change” industry. Their discovery must be suppressed at all costs.

The science is now all-but-settled on global warming, convincing new evidence demonstrates, but Al Gore, the IPCC and other global warming doomsayers won’t be celebrating. The new findings point to cosmic rays and the sun — not human activities — as the dominant controller of climate on Earth.

The research, published with little fanfare this week in the prestigious journal Nature, comes from über-prestigious CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, one of the world’s largest centres for scientific research involving 60 countries and 8,000 scientists at more than 600 universities and national laboratories. CERN is the organization that invented the World Wide Web, that built the multi-billion dollar Large Hadron Collider, and that has now built a pristinely clean stainless steel chamber that precisely recreated the Earth’s atmosphere.

In this chamber, 63 CERN scientists from 17 European and American institutes have done what global warming doomsayers said could never be done — demonstrate that cosmic rays promote the formation of molecules that in Earth’s atmosphere can grow and seed clouds, the cloudier and thus cooler it will be. Because the sun’s magnetic field controls how many cosmic rays reach Earth’s atmosphere (the stronger the sun’s magnetic field, the more it shields Earth from incoming cosmic rays from space), the sun determines the temperature on Earth.

Generally, the very same thing I’ve been saying for years. Huh! I’ll be darned. And now to quote from a goofy Vice President and Nobel Prize winner: “The debate is over.”

Shutting the Climate Kooks up: Britain suffers coldest summer in two decades

Have you ever noticed that the climate kooks only talk about local area’s? We had a hurricane/tropical storm, now they’re all spinning it as though hurricanes are much worse now, when the documented history proves otherwise. The heat spell earlier this summer just had to be global warming, what else could it be? At the same time and for the past 5-10 years the southern hemisphere has been experiencing extreme cold, but the kooks never mention that.

The California brush fires were caused by global warming, remember that nonsense? As we all know now they were caused by careless humans and lightning. They’re doing the same thing now in Australia. Blaming the figment of the kooks imagination… climate change for bush fires.

Now we are looking at a significantly colder summer in Great Britain, among other places in the northern hemisphere, how will they spin that? Nevermind, the kooks believe that cold temperatures are actually a result of global warming. See what I mean? Kooks. All of ‘em.

Lake Superior has frozen over three times I believe in the last 10 years. That normally happens about once every 50 years, but the kooks even have the spin for that, citing water levels, which on a lake that large make no difference whatsoever.

There’s a really simple explanation. It’s called, the weather. That’s it. That’s all there is to it. And Britain’s cold weather is not due to global cooling, and it certainly has nothing to do with global warming/climate change. Only a fool believes it does.

The UK’s average temperature from June 1 to August 15 was only 57F (13.9C) – the lowest for 13 years.

For central England the average was 59F (15C), making it the coolest summer since 1993.

Helen Waite, a Met Office forecaster, said: “The average temperature for central England this summer has been just 15C – this sort of temperature is normally typical of September.

“Generally speaking, you would expect to see temperatures of at least 17C for this time of year.”

So where is your imaginary global warming/climate change now, kooks?

The Kooks spin the non-existent Climate Change to Irene & hurricanes again (Yawn…)

Well that didn’t take very long, did it? The kooks are out in full force and lying to you about the hurricane threat and climate change. First off, there’s no such thing as climate change, but the radicals, kooks and other assorted jackwagons have started the tired and stale old lie that climate change is causing hurricanes to be more severe. Nevermind Irene was the first one in 3 years, and when it came ashore it wasn’t even strong enough to be classified a hurricane! Ahh, but that won’t stop the climate kooks from spreading their junk science as fact, as evidenced in the New York Times story, Seeing Irene as Harbinger of a Change in Climate. No, I’m not kidding. These whack jobs will stop at nothing to advance their fear-mongering and environmental extremist agenda.

The story in the Times written by Justin Gillis is complete propaganda, that lacks truth and evidence. You can clearly see the agenda he is pushing. He’s probably a disciple of Weird Al Gore.

The short answer from scientists is that they are still trying to figure it out. But many of them do believe that hurricanes will get more intense as the planet warms, and they see large hurricanes like Irene as a harbinger.

First off, THE PLANET IS NOT WARMING, period. The Argosy project proved beyond any doubt the Earth has actually cooled over the past 15-20 years. And, history has shown that we have had plenty of “large” hurricanes. The nonsense continues:

I did the research and pulled the statistics, something the agenda pushing climate kooks intentionally neglect to do, and the facts contradict the story line.

For the 40 year period of 1970-2009, counting only Category 3, 4 and 5 hurricanes, the United States was hit with 14. For the previous 40 years (1930-1969) the United States was hit with 38. As usual, the climate kooks are lying again.
