Yet another in a growing list of major business players in the country coming out and ripping Obama’s Marxist policies in his quest to socialize the country. Now it’s Bernie Marcus, co-founder of the highly successful Home Depot.
I wonder what the underlying and unspoken threat is from Obama. “Contribute to my campaign or else…” and the “or else” is being regulated out of business, union disruptions, IRS audits, etc… Look, let’s be honest, that’s Obama’s MO. I’d love to hear how it’s put by business.
We know Obama hates business (unless its campaign contribution season), we’ve seen and experienced Obamunism in the business circles for almost 4 years, the evidence is irrefutable about how much he despises business and profit, his ideology is 100% opposite of the core values of this country, we know that. Actions speak louder than words, and we’ve seen his actions.
Investors Business Daily interviewed Bernie Marcus:
IBD: President Obama has promised to streamline and eliminate regulations. What’s your take?
Marcus: His speeches are wonderful. His output is absolutely, incredibly bad. As he speaks about cutting out regulations, they are now producing thousands of pages of new ones. With just ObamaCare by itself, you have a 2,000 page bill that’s probably going end up being 150,000 pages of regulations.
IBD: If you could sit down with Obama and talk to him about job creation, what would you say?
Marcus: I‘m not sure Obama would understand anything that I’d say, because he’s never really worked a day outside the political or legal area. He doesn’t know how to make a payroll, he doesn’t understand the problems businesses face. I would try to explain that the plight of the businessman is very reactive to Washington. As Washington piles on regulations and mandates, the impact is tremendous.
And the most truthful and damning statement from this interview:
IBD: Why don’t more businesses speak out?
Marcus: They are frightened to death — frightened that they will have the IRS or SEC on them. In my 50 years in business, I have never seen executives of major companies who were more intimidated by an administration.
Thomas Jefferson once said, “When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
It is crystal clear Obama has “transformed” this country in to a tyranny, and he is a tyrant. It is what it is, and the truth holds no agenda. It’s time for Obama to leave.
