Oh Yeah, I’m Back & It’s Game On!

Wow! Now that was a long week. Thank goodness for auto posting.

I’m back at it, posting what you’ve become accustomed to!

We had some pretty severe storms here in the cities last week and my power cord got fried so I had to order a new one. It arrived today, and it’s game on once again!

You can expect normal posts to resume tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

I think I’ll call it a day

You know… it’s almost 5:00 PM Central, it’s a gorgeous day out, so I think I’m done writing posts today.

I believe Mrs. Admiral and I will jump in the boat and head over to Sunsets in Wayzata. I’ve been craving one of their delicious New York Strips for a couple of days now. Man, oh man! Their steaks are out of this world!

Yeah! That’s a great idea! We shall dine at Sunsets this evening, then take a leisurely sunset/twilight cruise home, via The Narrows and Black Lake/Seton Channel instead of the more direct route via Crystal Bay.

It’s settled then. Have a great night, we’ll talk tomorrow.

Some items to pass along for today

Here it is Monday already. When I was on vacation recently, LML got blasted with some comments. Let me make this perfectly clear. When I’m on vacation, I am not interested in carrying on blog type conversations, in fact, I’m not interested in blogging at all. That’s one of the reasons why it’s called a vacation.

I have a few comments, one is darned near a novel, and I’m going to deal with some of those later today in case you’re wondering about that. I should have turned the comments off sooner rather than later during my time off. So I guess it’s on me. That won’t happen again.

Last week was my first week back, and my long week at work which included working both days (12 hours per day) this past weekend. I worked 32 hours just Friday, Saturday and Sunday alone, and dealing with blog stuff during this time frame was not in the top 3 or 4 items on my “to do list.”

Now I have the day off and it’s time to take care of business… blog business that is (it’s too hot to be out on the lake today). I’m going to make a good faith effort in to catching up.

Now for commenting. Say your piece, make your point, and have the evidence to back it up, by evidence I don’t mean a “news item” from MoveOn or Media Matters or any other progressive group with an agenda that spews nothing but lies and propaganda, real evidence is necessary.

And if you use something from the media please verify it with additional sources, as we all know, it isn’t the media for the most part anymore, it’s mostly left-wing propaganda. So fact-check those sources, please.

Lastly, Trolls. Everyone knows what a troll is, right? If not, here’s the basic description:

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

I 86 trolls with extreme prejudice. Unlike some of my fellow bloggers that 86 for a week or two, maybe a month, when I do it, it’s permanent. I refuse to negotiate with trolls. That’s my policy and there are no exceptions.

So… with that being said, I have some business to catch up on.

Taking a break on vacation

Well folks, it’s noon (Central) and I am now officially on vacation. In case you didn’t know, because I’m on vacation, original posts started early today. 5 AM early, so scroll down and read ‘em all. Especially the post titled, Barack “The Bolshevik” Obama.

This is my last post until July 11th. Not to worry, Lake Minnetonka Liberty will have lots of fresh content published everyday via our auto feed poster, so keep checking back daily for new and interesting posts.

Have a great 4th of July weekend, we’ll talk again on Monday July 11th.

A little publishing info for you

Some of you may have noticed that I wrote fewer posts yesterday. There are numerous reasons for that, and it will continue, using the same reasons.

It’s summer for one, and there are boats and Lake Minnetonka and Lake Superior. There are family get-togethers among other activities.

There’s also the fact that I have a new and better job. That happens on Monday. Much more money, way better benefits, with a very, very successful company which as of 2010 was listed as the 17th largest in the world and has over 287,000 employee’s.

That means I’m not my own boss anymore and I can’t “do as I please” and bang out posts from work. Small price to pay for what I’m getting in return, so I have no complaints.

I just kind of fell in to this or, lucked in to it. I’m sure “divine intervention” played a part and I am thankful to the almighty for presenting the opportunity and give thanks every night.

I sent out a resume over a month ago and had no idea what company it was, the ad never said, and I really wasn’t expecting much except to stay put where I was at. Not even 24 hours later I got the call and I about fell off my chair when she told me the details. I was sold right then and there.

Had to go through a stunningly thorough background check. They do a better job than the cops do. I haven’t been checked up on like that since the Dept. of Defense did it when I was in the Navy.

And finally, I’m getting tired of this to be honest with you. I put a lot of pressure on myself to bang out “X” number of posts per day if not more, and I’m burned out. I’ve had enough. So the number of posts you saw by me yesterday is the number of posts you can expect from me from now on.

So that means there’s an opportunity for some “fresh blood.” If you want to be a contributing writer for Lake Minnetonka Liberty, let me know and let’s do it. I’m easy to get along with and I don’t micro-manage. The more, the merrier, and different views are always more interesting than the same old, same old.

FYI: Publishing info for tomorrow (May 20, 2011)

I’ll have the auto poster cranked up tomorrow as I’m taking another day off from blogging. Busy work related morning tomorrow, and in the afternoon? Well, it’s the weekend and I’m not spending Friday afternoon writing posts. It will be business as usual Saturday up until Thursday the 26th at noon, when we go back up north for 11 days. During that time, it’s all auto posts until we get back home on June 5th. I guess I should say, all auto posts unless the other writers want to post.

Have a great weekend everyone, and remember, it’s back to business as usual on Saturday.
