Nobody Safe From Obama’s “Jokes”
Obama continued blaming others for his failures at the correspondents dinner, but he did it using humor.
There’s an old saying that goes like this, “There is a grain of truth in every jest.” And William Shakespeare once said, “Many a truth is oft told in jest.”
Let’s examine a few of Obama’s “jokes,” and point out the truth behind them:
“Last year at this time, this very weekend, we finally delivered justice to one of the world’s most notorious individuals,” Obama said. Then a picture of real estate mogul Donald Trump appeared on the room’s television monitors.
Truth: Obama hates Donald Trump. A lot of reasons why, and not getting any campaign contributions is the biggest one. Also, Trump is wealthy and successful which lies in complete conflict of the socialist ideology. In Obama’s world, Trump should be brought down to where the majority are, and his excess wealth should be seized by the government and redistributed to the collective.
Obama also took a shot at the Republican congressional leadership, whom he thanked “for taking time from their exhausting schedule of not passing any laws” to attend the dinner.
Truth: A complete and total lie. Republicans have drafted and passed more legislation than the Democrats. Hundreds of pieces only to be stonewalled by the Democrat Senate and the bills that do on rare occasion make it through have been vetoed by Obama.
In other words, Obama and the Democrats are basically saying, “It’s our way, or no way.” Their actions have proven that. They are the obstructionists, not Republicans.
No pot shots at the Democrat controlled Senate, Barack? No cracks about the Senate controlled by your party not doing a budget in over three years?
Oh! I get it. It’s the Republicans fault!
The Blamer-In-Chief With His Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Barack Obama is perfect. Just ask him, he’ll tell you. The guy is such a narcissist, what’s that mental illness again that the daffy Democrat Cynthia Clinkingbeard has? Oh yeah, I remember now. It’s called NPD which stands for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. That mental illness is what Barack Obama is afflicted with. I told you he has mental illness. There is no doubt he suffers from NPD.
Remember what I’ve been telling you Democrats, in particular, Barack Obama have been doing? All of his failures are always somebody else’s fault, even if his hand is caught in the cookie jar, not his fault, it’s somebody else’s. Are you like me, and sick of this jackass constantly blaming others for the messes he creates? Well, here’s a couple of whoppers from the King of Blame, Barack Obama.
Obama Tries to Deflect Blame on Solyndra, Keystone
“Obviously we wish Solyndra hadn’t gone bankrupt. Part of the reason they did was the Chinese were subsidizing their solar industry and flooding the market in ways Solyndra couldn’t compete. But understand, this was not our program per se.”
– President Obama talking to National Public Radio’s “Marketplace.”
His opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline, he lobbied Democrat Senators to vote against, well, that’s the Republicans fault! What an ass.
The pipeline to Canada, the Keystone XL, is a political winner. Polls consistently show Americans favor its construction and Republicans have been hammering the president for months for his obstruction of the project….
Obama, who is a long-time crusader against global warming, has suffered politically for his opposition to the pipeline. Global warming has faded as a concern for voters amid a lengthy economic disruption and with new doubts about the most alarming claims made by carbon hawks. With gasoline prices more than twice as high as they were when Obama took office, consumers are far less indulgent of Obama’s environmental policies.
The president’s point in Cushing is that while he won’t allow the top of the pipeline to go where the oil is, he has chosen not to block pipeline expansions at the southern end. This, of course, makes folks in the energy business furious. To have the president demanding credit for not blocking domestic pipeline upgrades is galling to them. They need executive blessing to cross the international border with Canada, but for domestic jobs they mostly just need Obama not to interfere and allow the permitting process to work as in the past.
The Obama campaign and White House have both made clear that the part of the pipeline that goes to the oil may yet be approved. The problem, they say, is that Republicans hurried the process. Again, Obama is seeking partisan blame.
And Solyndra? No, that’s not his fault either.
Obama’s first stop was in must-win Nevada, where he defended subsidies for solar energy, a tricky subject given the high-profile debacle at Solyndra, a pet project of big Obama donors that got a presidential visit and lots of public help.
While making his push for solar, Obama explained to a reporter for National Public Radio that the blame for Solyndra was bipartisan and not the fault of the Obama Democrats “per se.”
“Congress, Democrats and Republicans, put together a loan guarantee program because they understood historically that when you get new industries, it’s easy to get money for new startups,” Obama said. “But if you want to take them to scale, often there is a lot of risk involved and what the loan guarantee program was designed to do was to help start-up companies get to scale.”
The 2009 stimulus package that provided the funding for a loan of $527 million for Solyndra, which subsequently defaulted, got zero Republican votes in the House and three Republican votes in the Senate — Maine Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins and former Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter, who switched parties two months after the vote. There was no Republican input on the structuring of the energy loan program and the specific loan to Solyndra was a Democrat job from start to finish.
Now, here’s some really bad news for Obama, thank God it’s happening in an election year, and this, if the ruling is correct, will finish Obama once and for all.
Friday is the second birthday of the president’s largest lingering liability from his term: a health law that most voters think will be expensive, disruptive and ineffective. The Supreme Court begins several days of arguments on the law, thought to be unconstitutional by most Americans, on Monday.
The process will remind moderate voters of their frustrations with Obama and his policies in a big way. It’s unfortunate for the president that the health law revival comes amid voter anger with his energy policies, and this campaign trip is an effort to reduce his liabilities on energy before Americans spend several days talking about the law they dislike that also happens to be Obama’s most significant accomplishment.
If Obama can’t knock down the perception that he is too liberal, events will compound quickly and leave him unable to pull of a new, more centrist posture.
Knock down the perception he’s too liberal? Trying a more centrist posture? How does the old saying go? “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” We know what he is, and we know what he’ll do in a second term, and that would be far greater damage than he has already done, because he’ll have nothing to lose, he can’t run again.
Discontent among the people for his Socialized Medicine law? He’ll probably blame that on someone else as well.
Only an absolute fool would believe any shift towards the center by Obama. It’s anything for power with him. That’s the only thing he’s made transparent.
DUMBASS: Democrats Blame Wall Street For High Gas Prices
Just when you think you’ve heard it all, you haven’t. I guess it’s true, Democrats (at least in congress) really do live in an alternate universe. I’ve never heard such idiocy in my life!
Dozens of House and Senate Democrats are urging federal regulators to implement limits on speculative trading in energy futures markets that the lawmakers call a major factor behind the run-up in gasoline prices.
A letter Monday to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) from 23 senators and 45 House members underscores how gas prices have soared to the top of the political agenda on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail.
That’s not the problem. Your party led by your president is about to clamp down on North Dakota’s oil industry via the EPA. Your party refuses offshore and onshore drilling, refuses to drill in ANWR, refuses shale oil drilling, killed the Keystone XL pipeline, and somehow that’s Wall Street’s fault? What drugs are you people on? Your policies have created what we are experiencing now. End of story.
Democrats working to ban #Occupy from their convention
Democrats are turning their backs on the people they chose to ally themselves with. Huh, I’ll be darned.
Could it be that they understand the American people don’t like #Occupy? Or is this purely a political move until after the election? Yeah. Probably. Remember, this is who the Democrat Party chose to be their “Tea Party,” and every one of them supported #Occupy, including Barry himself, numerous times.
If this doesn’t show you how phony the Democrat Party is, I don’t know what will. They have no trouble at all throwing anyone under the bus. In spite of this nonsense, the Democrat Party will be forever linked to the Nazi and Communist Party endorsed #Occupy movement, and people like me will always remind you of that. The occupiers are the DNC’s foot soldiers. Never forget that.
via NYMag.com:
In John Heilemann’s cover story “2012=1968?,” he wonders whether Occupy Wall Street protesters will do to Charlotte’s Democratic National Convention in the summer of 2012 what demonstrators did to the Chicago DNC in 1968. The North Carolina city, sometimes called the “Wall Street of the South,” is not taking any chances, and is already working to pass an ordinance that would make occupying downtown spaces with tents a “public nuisance,” in addition to banning “noxious substances,” padlocks, and other camping equipment. The fact that it would knock out the city’s current overnight demonstrators is an added bonus.
Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx said dubiously last month that the rule, which could be enacted in January, is not aimed at a specific group. “Unlike many cities that have well-developed regulations governing protest activity, our local regulations contain gaps that need to be filled,” he said. But a memo about the ordinance does note, “The recent issues related to camping on city property have further amplified the need to review whether the city wants to regulate this activity during the DNC.” A city councilman added of the current Occupy Charlotte faction, “Once those ordinances go into effect, those overnight stays will end.”
A local National Lawyers Guild director says that the rule’s constitutionality might be challenged and could even spur “increased confrontation between protesters and police.” For their part, the protesters say they don’t even have a plan for the DNC yet, but acknowledge the opportunity it presents. “Everybody I talked to said the DNC is ground zero for everything,” said one organizer. “Everybody wants to be involved. We’re estimating several thousands of people coming especially from the Occupy community.” The idea of an alternative convention has been floated, while another Occupy organizer called the DNC “a powder keg.” Tents or no tents, Charlotte “has got a big target on it,” he said.
Now, just so we are clear. When the riots start because the Democrats are doing the Benedict Arnold to their #Occupy allies it will be the Democrats fault. The riots coming to Charlotte is on the Democrat Party. That party had a super majority for two years and still holds the majority in the senate and the White House, we are completely submersed in Democrat policies, so these riots coming are going to be on them.
But don’t worry, Democrats will do what they always do, and what they do best. They will point and blame Republicans. Yup, they will blame Republicans, and the Tea Party for the riots they will have in Charlotte. And since there is no shortage of stupid people, some will actually believe the blaming that Democrats will do.
I’m so sure of this that I am willing to bet money. It will go down as I say. Bookmark this post for future reference.
NRO: Obama Lies about the ‘Do-Nothing Congress’
‘This Congress, they are accustomed to doing nothing, and they’re comfortable with doing nothing, and they keep on doing nothing,” President Obama whined at a September 15 Democrat National Committee gathering in a private Washington residence.
Now that his “Blame Bush” hobby horse finally has retired to the glue factory, Obama resorts to pinning America’s woes on the “Do-Nothing Congress.” If only these parliamentarians would stop taking endless lunches, sipping cocktails at Capitol Hill happy hours, and napping at their desks, America might have some chance of returning to normal.
Obama speaks as if the entire Congress were in lock-step Republican opposition to his every initiative. Damn those pesky elephants!
Of course, Obama’s rhetoric cynically turns things upside down.
Congress consists of a do-something House of Representatives, run by Republicans, and a do-nothing Senate controlled by Obama’s very own Democrats. Obama evidently believes that if he can keep spouting clever lies and distortions, no one will call him on it. Well, it’s time to do so.
The 112th Congress has been characterized by a very active legislative pace in the Republican House, featuring the passage of many measures designed to revive America’s exhausted economy.
The Democrat Senate, meanwhile, is a much lazier place, where House Republicans’ measures go to die.
The figures bear this out, beyond debate. Read the rest
LAUGHER: Obama says GOP will fundamentally cripple America
[Hysterical laughter!] Yeah! And what have you and your party done lately? Oh, let me think. The unemployment rate has increased 3.5% under your policies compared to the worst of times during the last 6 months of the previous administration, you lost our AAA credit rating. Congratulations, you’re the first president that managed to accomplish that.
Record deficits of a trillion and a half dollars every year of your presidency, you’ve spent 6 trillion dollars including an 800 billion dollar failed stimulus, you’ve raised taxes, gas prices are more than double, inflation has hit, and now you’re back to repeating those same failed actions by going coast to coast calling for more taxes and more spending to the tune of almost half a trillion dollars. Didn’t you learn by your mistakes the first time? Evidently not. And now he’s going around claiming the GOP will cripple America? What were his exact words again? Oh yeah, “an approach to government that will fundamentally cripple America in meeting the challenges of the 21st century.” Call the kettle black one more time, okay?
It’s already been established that Barack Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter, the worst in the last century, and quite likely the worst of all time, and he’s pointing right, and saying the Republicans would be worse! This guy just never stops amazing me!
HATEMONGERS: The Congressional Black Caucus
You want pure hatred? Look no further than the Congressional Black Caucus. Those people are an example of what is wrong and ugly with this country. This is pure hatred of the American people, dividing rather than uniting. These people scream for tolerance, but show none to others. The violent rhetoric coming from those people is astounding, and here we were led to believe they are civilized and intelligent. Is this really what you want representing you in congress? Do these people actually reflect your views and beliefs?
I have to warn you, this video is ugly. Very ugly and vile, so far removed from the spirit of America it’ll make you wonder how people like this actually get elected. They are the fringe of society. The haters.
Barack “The Blamer” Blames Congress for Recession
It’s always somebody else’s fault with this assclown of a president we’re stuck with for another year, isn’t it?
Nevermind it’s been his agenda, his policies, and his economy for the last three years. Nevermind that the Republicans have only gained power in one of the three branches (for lack of a better term) and have had that majority for only 6 months. Nevermind that he and his party are still the majority, and had a supermajority for the past two years that rendered the Republicans completely powerless, and that his party had control of congress and policy for two years prior to that, with Bush virtually rendered powerless, oh no, it’s not his fault. It’s those damned Republicans!
This guy is un-f—ing-believable! And to think, there really are stupid people who believe him. Yeah, that’s right. Those people shouldn’t have the right to live for being that stupid. When it comes to “The Blamer,” at least he has a high opinion of himself, but nobody else does.
A vacationing U.S. President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking “common sense” measures he said would create jobs and help growth.[...]
“The only thing preventing us from passing these bills is the refusal by some in Congress to put country ahead of party. That’s the problem right now. That’s what’s holding this country back,” the president said in his weekly radio address, which is also transmitted on the Internet.
A refusal to put the country ahead of party? If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what is. How does this guy even look in a mirror? He’s a psychopath, his behavior demonstrates that he is afflicted with psychopathy, seriously. I’m completely flabbergasted and speechless. There’s something mentally wrong with the guy.
As Usual with Obama, it’s always somebody or something else’s fault
We really need to start referring to Obama as, “The Blamer.” Seriously. It’s always somebody else or something else, never him. Have you noticed? If not, what rock do you live under? He even blames others for the messes he creates. Responsibility is not exactly a quality Obama embraces. Heck, why be responsible for your own actions when you can blame someone else?
I’m not showing the video because I can’t stand the sight of that man, let alone the sound of his voice, so if you want to see and hear “The Blamer” you’ll need to go to Real Clear Politics to view it. Here’s the story:
“In the last few months, the economy has had to absorb an earthquake in Japan, the economic head winds coming from Europe, the Arab Spring and the rise in oil prices, all of which have been very challenging for the recovery. But these are things we couldn’t control. Our economy didn’t need Washington to come along with a manufactured crisis to make things worse. That was in our hands. It’s pretty likely that the uncertainty surrounding the raising of the debt ceiling for both businesses and consumers has been unsettling and just one more impediment to the full recovery that we need and it’s something we could have avoided entirely. So, voters may have chosen divided government but they sure didn’t vote for dysfunctional government. They want us to solve problems, they want us to get this economy growing and adding jobs,” President Obama said in the Rose Garden Tuesday afternoon after the debt ceiling deal passed in the Senate.
He’s right about one thing, this is something that could have been avoided… by him not spending money we don’t have on things we don’t need. Barack and the Democrats have now spent (counting the 4.6 trillion dollars worth of deficits) 12 trillion dollars. 5.2 on increased government, 4.6 on three deficits, and now another roughly 2.2 trillion on this blunderous debt deal. And you know what? As with all leftists, it still won’t be enough.
