Well I’ll be! The party that professes to have the monopoly on tolerance, diversity and all that liberal touchy, feely crap, turns out to be bigots! Well wash my hands in muddy water! Who would have ever thought?
Here’s pretty much their standard line about the evil bigoted Republicans that aren’t enlightened enough to accept a Mormon, particularly those Evangelicals and other right-wing zealots:
Ever since Mitt Romney’s unsuccessful run for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, there’s been much discussion of whether GOP voters would accept a Mormon candidate. Would evangelical conservatives, in particular, look past the former Massachusetts governor’s faith to vote for him? The underlying assumption was that the more conservative the views, the more intolerant the voter.
That’s exactly the Democrat and Leftist line. The more conservative, the more intolerant. You hear that line played over and over in the so-called media, the Democrat (Socialist) Party, from all the kooks that live in Liberalville, that’s how they falsely proclaim we are.
As it turns out, they are the ones that are intolerant, they are the religious bigots, and they are the ones that consistently break the 9th Commandment on an hourly basis. Okay Lefty, I guess I need to tell you what the 9th Commandment is. Here ya go… “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.” Some of you folks need to make Barack aware of that one.
Now, it turns out a better question might be whether Democrat voters would accept a Mormon candidate. In a survey that cuts against the media stereotype, a Gallup Poll has found that more Democrats than Republicans say they would not vote for a Mormon for president.
Uh-Oh! Kinda shoots a hole in that tolerance theory, doesn’t it?
