This is probably one of the few times that I agree with Senator Bernie Sanders, that the Democrat Party needs a primary challenger to face off against Obama. I don’t think this conversation would be taking place had Hilary Clinton won, and the GOP would likely be looking at retaking the White House in 2016 instead of next year.
One of the Senate’s
liberalprogressive stalwarts suggested over the weekend thatPresidentObama could benefit from a primary challenger over the next year.Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.), a Socialist who caucuses with Democrats, said it would be a “good idea” for Obama to face a primary challenger, if for nothing else than as a counterweight to Republican voices in the presidential debate.
Now here I thought Sanders was talking about having a real Democrat, one that is more reasonable such as… uh… er…. ummm… well I can’t think of any off-hand, but one not as extreme as Obama. Nope! Bernie thinks Obama is too far right! Keep sipping the Kool Aid old sport!
