At MN’s highest tax rate a worker has to make over $550,000 just to support Ms. Mill’s daycare bill. That means 11 people making an average salary of 56$K a year (They pay at a lower rate) have every tax dollar that they pay in spent on one single benefit to a single person. How many MN taxpayers are supporting this family? My guess is somewhere between 50 and 100.
